Well Rainn Wilson is listed as the guest. Maybe he's bringing Al along? Who knows, but it's hard to imagine anything I'd like to hear more than "Weird Al" Yankovic discussing Keynesian Economics. Take that, Reagan!!

Now that Al and Rainn are BFFs, The Office should do a plot where Dwight admits to being a huge Weird Al fan who posts stuff on fan forums under the name of FredHuggins.

If true, I think this will be funny. After all, didn't Ben Folds just happen to take Al along to Leno's old show as his sidekick as well? Maybe he's going to pop up whenever an AlPal appears as part of the ongoing joke where Al has never been asked in person.

It was indeed Leno.

In fact, Al will be playing tambourine throughout Rainn's interview. It'll be a great conceptual performance art comedy piece.

I believe Letterman has always had a hatred for comedy music.

I know Liam Lynch was on there when USofWhatever was a hit, but Liam also has connections and friendships with two of Letterman's favorite guests, Jack Black and Dave Grohl, so that could easilly have been more of a "knowing people" booking. (Only speculating on that one, and I'm certainly not degrading Lynch, Black, or Grohl)

But regardless, many people more connected than I have often speculated Letterman just doesn't respect Al.
