Sauce??

:P

So, a few more folks have mentioned this. I wonder how they found out the title and release date?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Excellent find! An 8-year-old telling his class what he wants to be when he grows up sounds like a cool premise. I think Al will do a great job with it. I'll have to buy it for my little nephews when it comes out.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Ludo, you beat me to it!

My neighbor sent me this email this morning:

I thought you'd get a kick out of this.  I get an online feed to Publisher's Marketplace telling me who sold their books to publishers, and this came up (it won't be out until winter 2011, but hey, something to look forward to!)

"Weird Al" Yankovic's first book, WHEN I GROW UP, in which an exuberant eight-year-old tells his patient teacher and amazed classmates about the astonishing variety of humorous and inventive careers he plans to pursue when he grows up --- to Anne Hoppe at Harper Children's, for publication in winter 2011, by attorney Phalen "Chuck" Hurewitz at Isaacman, Kaufman & Painter.

I think what Alejandra said makes perfect sense:
I would go with winter 2011. Doesn't it technically start on Dec 2010? You guys and your seasons!

Predictions:

Will the text in this book be written in rhyme or prose?

Ohh this sounds lovely! I kind of think of Al as a bit of an exuberant 8 year old anyway sometimes, so I can easily imagine how charming and inventive this is going to be :)

I can't wait... Like I said, Shel Silverstein's spirit is strong in this 'un

This will end up as a kids animated movie short as well I bet, somewhere down the line

That just made the drooling far more disturbing than I ever thought possible.
