Wanting to go into voice acting or late night TV, Skipper Dan was just depressing. It was a terrific song, but the concept was just sad.

The only real issue I have with the song is the ending. A little anticlimatic. I wanted a huge finish. Oh, well!

I love it!!

I'm a Queen fan, so I was very excited to find out one of the originals would be a Queen style parody. I love the complexity in the vocal harmonies (not easy to sing, I might add), guitar, and just overall feel of Queen. Al and the band did an awesome job at emulating all of that. Musically, Al really hit this one out of the park. Lyrically? Ok, so it's a bit repetitive... but aren't most pop songs these days? I think it's funny, but not "laugh out loud" funny. The song is still awesome. Catchy tune.

I hear a lot of Somebody To Love, especially in the backup vocals. But, it doesn't help that I already knew that was one of the "homework" songs  .

I love the new song. It's not as good as Skipper Dan, but it's still great. I'll post a fuller review of the song once I've heard it a few more times.

+ a gazillion.

The Queen fan in me and the Al fan in me were high-fiving each other while listening to this song. :ttr:

There's a riff in there that reminds me a lot of "Now I'm Here" - you'll recognize it if you listen to the song.

Actually, listen at about 0:55 here.

The chorus was just so musically fantastic that I don't know what to say.

Although, I feel Jib Jab did better in the video department.
Warsaw was raw.

After listening to it more, I think this song is musically brilliant, but I feel like it's really lacking in the lyrics. There aren't many jokes. Hell, the video has more jokes than the actual song.

Ah well.

Yeah, I noticed how the song isn't too full in the joke department also. Oh well...

Yeah, I noticed that too, (I did lol at the "buck ninety-nine" rhyme though) but what this showed me is that Al doesn't always need funny lyrics to have a great song. Sure, it's what we expect, but if the music takes me to a good place, that's all I need. The jokes are icing on the cake.
