Though I have to admit that, after the 27th time I saw it, the "here she comes" bit started to be a little funny. I guess I stopped waiting for a punchline. Or for it to make any sense at all, I suppose.

The whole point of Tim & Eric is to mock the way something is presented, not so much the thing itself. It takes the "any idiot can get on TV" concept to its nth degree, extrapolating that any CONCEPT, no matter how stupid, mundane or ridiculous, can be a TV show if it's presented the right way.
At the same time, it runs with the idea of talentless people trying in vain to produce something creative, but REFUSES to wink at the audience with reactions of people rolling their eyes. Even Python pulled the curtain back now and then, by letting the characters acknowledge how silly all this silliness is. But not Tim & Eric. Their version of TV won't help us decide for one second what to make of all the madness, because as far as Uncle Muscles is concerned, Casey was a musical genius, end of story.
It's kind of like the TV equivalent of a Dali painting or a Zappa record, operating both with AND without its own internal logic at will. Granted, even if that analogy DOES hold, that doesn't mean it's not self-absorbed and a trifle pretentious. But I'd rather watch something unique any day, if only for the mental challenge. To say "it's not funny" seems rather besides the point: this is TV From Mars, take it or leave it.

Just gonna stand there and watch me burn...that's alright because I like the way it hurts...
