Craigslist is a very popular website. Here is a link to its Wikipedia page.

Judging by the fact that it was removed from amazon, I'd say yes. If he didn't care about people having a sample, he wouldn't have had it removed.

Will the video and song be in the same album in the iTunes store, or will the video be seperate?

Al didn't have it removed.

His record label did. Artists have no say in what their record labels do. Recently a few labels have been removing music videos from YouTube, while the artists wanted them there.

Chances are Al didn't care about the clip. He may not have even known about it.

Re: Jace

Are you kidding me? We all know Al reads the forum, or at least skims it. He's made reference to things discussed here in his myspace blogs before. Why would his record label care about a 30-second clip? They'd see it as promotion. Al is the one who tries to maintain secrecy about his new music as much as possible. Most likely, the record label DID have it pulled, as they're the ones who would deal with Amazon.com. But I assure you that it was at Al's request.

Then again, this forum didn't frown upon illegal early downloads of "Straight Outta Lynwood," so I doubt the mods care enough to enforce Al's wishes in this case.

Whatever. I've already heard the clip a few times when it was on Amazon. I don't need to hear it again until the song is released and I can actually hear the whole thing as it was meant to be heard.

Jon - Yes, I was wondering why he didn't just link to Craigslist instead of its wikipedia page.

For anyone who has never seen the site: http://craigslist.org/
Be sure to click on your home city, then explore the various sections.

Wikipedia is a vast collection of KNOWLEDGE! I think. It has information, maybe? Sometimes I'll go to Wikipedia instead of the site first just because I want to read about it.
