Maybe you could rent a room for over night then, so you could see Al's Brain the next day?

Ah, but that is why I like to take a I'm-making-this-video-for-my-own-amusement approach: Walking around and talking, holding the video camera, and therefore making a pretty bad video.

As much as I love Weird Al, there is no way I'm renting a room an hour away from where I live just to see his exhibit.

Let's go see it opening day--we can try to time it for when Al puts in an appearance-maybe July10? I'll come get you, Jon.

Ooooh, if you know when Al is planning to appear that would be awesome! I have to check my shooting schedule to be sure it's not a day when we are shooting our movie, but if he's not appearing on a weekend it should be fine.

Exciting! Thanks!

ETA: It would be cool if a bunch of WOWAYers went to the opening day festivities, especially if/when Al was planning to be there.

Ha-That will be happening for sure. We don't even have to call each other when an actual Al appearance is involved. :D

That sounds awesome, especially because I that with my brother going out of his way to take me, he won't stay overnight to see Al Fest on the 2nd. If some awesome person has a ride for me or if I can get one of my friends to take me with an Al appearance, I'd be there in a heartbeat!

***OK Well the planned facility for this is not going to be finished on time, but I am assured by an OC Fair representative that the presentation will not suffer in any way from being housed in a temporary structure. (it will be air conditioned).

This is what she had to say

"Calling it a tent doesnt do it justice - it will have a building-like feel. The bottom line is, the movie will be great, no matter where it is shown, the talent remains the same! I saw the movie and it's great. As for the structure, it's still being built but from what I have seen of plans, it should be seamless. The new state-of-the art 'tent' and movie should be reassurance. Guess the proof will be in the pudding!"

I hope when she says "seamless" she doesnt mean theres no way in or out of there!***

Tonight I went out to dinner with some friends and Eric Wareheim from Tim & Eric Awesome Show was sitting across from me at the table. We started talking, and eventually the conversation turned to Weird Al since I knew he was friends with Al. He mentioned something regarding Al's Brain that, as far as I know, is new news regarding the project:

SPOILER Tim & Eric appear in the movie, and they apparently filmed their part recently. Their part involves demonstrating how long the brain would be if you unraveled it.

Kind of neat to know!
