There's some costume changes and stuff. They show videos in between songs. Last I checked at least.

I always wanted to know why Laura had a problem with going into Canada?

I first saw Al live on August 18, 1994 at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, OH. I was only 2 so I don't remember that much. Last show I attended was on July 6, 2008 at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheater in Toledo, OH. I tell you guys. Al is the BEST live performer ever & his band & him himself are very nice & friendly people.

I've probably mentioned it before but since I had only started knowing who he was I became a fan perhaps the year following the release of Straight Outta Lynwood. Having that happen (Thanks YouTube!), I checked out his site, and saw a date I could go to. May 25th, 2007. So yeah, I used to live in Georgia. For whatever reason I was lazy and didn't end up going.

But then we spent the summer in Washington state the following year and Al just happened to be playing at the Evergreen State Fair! My mom knew I would love front row seats, so instead of us buying tickets at the fair, she checked eBay for me... someone was selling front row seat tickets! And they ended being the cheapest. Not a single other show Al was doing were there tickets on eBay for that cheap, so we bought them, and my first concert was 8/26/08.

Now that I live in Texas I'm going to start tour chasing any shows in Texas or New Mexico.
8/26/08, 7/15/10, 7/16/10, 7/17/10, 11/5/10, 9/22/11, 9/24/11, 9/25/11, 4/30/12, 10/19/13, 5/19/15, 8/19/15, 8/21/15, 7/16/16, 3/3/18, 3/22/18, 4/20/18, 4/27/18, 6/14/19, 6/15/19, 6/21/19, 9/1/19, 5/31/22, 6/1/22, 9/4/22, 9/30/22, 10/1/22, 10/7/22

I've been to TWO shows. Both were within a few days of each other...

The first show was SUCH a magical event, because it was the first time I'd ever seen Al in person, and heard any of his music being played live. Seeing Al walking out on stage, seeing him in person...it was just the best thing that'd ever happened to me.

Supposedly, there was a meet and greet after the show, but we left too early because we thought the show was over and all...The SECOND show I went to, however, I made it a POINT to go behind the stage to the tour bus just in case they had a meet and greet.
It was pretty awesome because Jim got on a bike and rode off down the road (said he was going to get some snacks at a store)...kinda funny.
But then he came out, and I finally got my chance to meet Al! I had my mp3 player recording the entire event, so I got to hear my recorded conversation with Al. It was a lot of fun.

I am really hoping that in the Summer of 2010, that Al will be on tour again, because when my girlfriend and I get married, we're taking our honeymoon at Cedar Point for a week or two, and we're planning to schedule it around some Weird Al shows, so it will be her first Al concert, and my third. So we'll see what happens...

But an Al show is just as fun as anything! They are SO involved with the audience members, and Al loves to do so much impromptu stuff. It never leaves you unsatisfied...
