I heard this a few weeks ago on The Lost 45s radio show:

3/29: "Weird Al" Yankovic hosts our annual April Fool's show, featuring comedy and novelty tunes!

The Lost 45s, hosted by Barry Scott, is a great radio show that airs from 7pm to midnight, Eastern Time. It has been broadcast for many, many years in Boston, MA. (A syndicated version was also carried by many radio stations around the country during the 1990's.) The Lost 45s plays songs from the 60's, 70's, or 80's that "you never thought you'd hear again!" Every week he features an interview with a different musician, and he plays some of their songs throughout the show.

I emailed Barry Scott a couple weeks ago to get the details of the upcoming show, and here is his reply:

Al is going to call and we’ll probably tape it before the show airs. It is being scheduled right now. Either way, I have spoken to him before and he likes the show, so I am sure we will get a lot of good stuff out of him!

Al will be airing between 7 and 11pm Eastern.

...The interview will be available for sale the week it airs at [my] web site as well!

Thanks for asking.

Barry Scott

The easiest way to get to the live broadcast is by going directly to the radio station's website right here. Just click on "Listen Live now" in the upper right corner of the page.

You can also get to it from the official website of "The Lost 45s with Barry Scott", but the link is harder to find and you have to click through a couple of pages. Either way, you end up at the same place.

Sounds cool, Jacinta! That's my brother's birthday, too. :)
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

from the Lost 45s website:

This Sunday, 3/29, from 7 to Midnight Eastern, "Multiple March" continues, featuring brand new interviews from artists with multiple Top 40 hits!

Our guest is "Weird" Al Yankovic, the parody master!!

In this rare interview for our annual April Fool's show, find out details about "Weird" Al's parodies!

Hear stories behind tunes like "Another One Rides The Bus," "Ricky," "Like A Surgeon," "I Lost On Joepardy" and, of course, "Eat it!"

Al will also tell you about his interaction with Michael Jackson, who he gave a gold record!

Plus, find out which superstar came up with an idea for a parody and which one didn't want their's released!

Of course, most of us already know a lot about the songs he mentioned above, but I am hoping for some interesting new info and stories, as well!

Here is an audio clip of Barry Scott (the host of The Lost 45s) advertising the upcoming show.

I am recording it with my little MP3 player so I can listen to the whole thing later.

I have been listening off and on this evening, and I've heard a few clips of the interview with Al. In my opinion, there is not enough of Al! :P
