A musical historian I am not. However the tune I shared is the one we are discussing, yes?

Al's tunes (and targets) may not end up as muzak, but at least one Al song has muzak in it[. Name that tune.

So Al hasn't left even that genre unscathed.

I can name that tune in one note.

Cavity Search

There was an article on musak (or is it muzak?) in a NJ newspaper once that actually mentioned Al. I can't remember the exact quote and I'm not near my binder of newspaper clippings to look it up, but the article was about the criteria used to select songs that will be set to musak, and it ended with something like, '...and that's why you won't see any "Weird Al" Yankovic songs as musak.'

That sound you hear is Al's fans breathing a collective sigh of relief.

And isn't Inna Gadda Da Vida already a song included in Al's "In 3D" ALbum Polka Medley "Polka's On 45"? Unless of course he sang the whole song on stage...

(Looks at list. Blinks. Looks again.) Party at the Leper Colony isn't on there! Does this mean it will definitely be on WAY 11? :D

I know it's in one of the polkas, but I'm not sure which one. And the amount of singing Al could've done on stage couldn't have been a lot - the song is 17 minutes long with only 2 minutes of lyrics.

Well, I think it means that Bermuda hasn't updated the setlist page, because nothing from OC is there.

And I didn't know it had an official title yet! But Bermuda will probably update the set lists around the time ALbum 11 is out. But just because it isn't listed doesn't mean it is going to be on ALbum 11. It would be cool though to hear "Party At The Lepor Colony"(or whatever the title) on the CD.

Bermuda showed us some video (at Alcon III) of the band playing "Wipeout" in several different keys (I believe it was another stall before they did Albuquerque).

He also showed us the fake version of Albuquerque... it was a breezey little ditty that went something like, 'Albuquerque, Albuquerque, the people here are kinda quirky...' it was hilarious when everyone got all impatient but were laughing at all the stalling :)

My favorite of those Albuqueque stall songs was a pretty straight version of The Carpenters "Close To You." I love surrealism.
