I became a fan when my sister's friend introduced me to Al's music videos on YouTube. Before that I was vaguely introduced through hearing his stuff come on the radio or where ever, but I never familiarized myself with him until YouTube.
What was really awesome about this girl was that she was more of a casual fan yet she knew which songs were and weren't his. (the mis-attributed stuff)
She told me she really wanted to see him live too. It was a shame we were on the opposites sides of the US at the time! (I was in WA, she was in GA)
How You First Discovered Al....

I vaguely remember listening to Al's cd poodle hat when I was little, but after that it was my brother's who introduced him to me, they are fans, but would never go and chat on here, cause' well i don't know, One is busy finding a job and the other college and work. And my other brother listens to stuff such as When Blood Runs black, and Lamb of God
My best friend is dating my brother, and I like to frighten them by sitting in a stairwell with a tripod...hee hee hee

One of my friends gave me a copy of Bad Hair Day when I was 7 years old.
Cue eight years of me being the most annoying Weird Al obsessed freak who was totally closed minded to ANY other music and thus caused a lot of people to want to stay away from me and I wish I could go back in time and relive my childhood so that I wasn't such a loser.
Weird Al is still cool though. But remember kids, don't become an obsessed freak and shut out all other music. That ain't cool.

I'll start...
I was 9 or 10, and I was going over to my cousin's house. My parents, and their parents were letting my oldest cousing babysit us while they went to a Christmas party. My cousin Joey, the oldest, wanted to show me something. We went into the TV room, and he showed me The Saga Begins music video. (Al looks fabulous in that video) I loved it, and thought Al was very cute. I didn't know who he was, I had heard of him, but had never learned who he was.... They showed me about 5 more of his videos.... I laughed a lot, and decided pick up one of his CD's the next time I went out...
I did. I bought Greatist Hits Volume 1, (has a lot of his older songs; Fat, Eat it, Like a Surgeon, ect...) and LOVED it..... then I bought Poodle Hat....
then Running with Scissors...
then Straight Out of Lynwood....
and I became completely obsessed....
Now I own almost all of his Cd's (don't have The Food Album or the UHF soundtrack)
I have been to his concert.
I own and have seen UHF at least 10 times
I created a Weird Al fansite
Over 200 of the songs on my ipod are Al's
Rock On Al!
