One Time Only Concert Songs
Today while browsing the Official Weird Al website I came across a bulk of songs that were only performed once during concert. Well aside from ALbequerque(Only done once while performing in ALbuquerque), I don't know why so many other songs weren't done again(See :
http://weirdal.com/setlists.htm for the list.) Maybe someone would have a clue???

Re: One Time Only Concert Songs
"Take Me Down" was appropriately performed for a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo show sometime on the last tour.
"Ricky" was only performed a few times live with Tress MacNeille, and once on TV with her. It's kind of hard to perform this one without having Tress around.
The last half of dozen or so on the list were performed as teasers before "Albuquerque" (not sure about RRHK)
And you already know the story behing "Albuquerque."
"Beverly Hillbillies/Miss You" was from Al's coffeehouse days, but I'm not sure if that's what was meant by listing it there, since there's a lot of stuff from Al's coffeehouse days that never made it out of the coffehouse.
I think "You Light Up My Life (punk version)" was that clip that Bermuda showed at the first ALCON of Al and the band in a bar somewhere. If I remember the story right, they were just hanging around having drinks or whatever, and the patrons recognized Al and bugged him and the band to get up and play something, so they played an intentionally terrible rendition of this song and that shut people up.
I'm not sure about the rest.

AlSongs.Com says:
QUOTE \"If I Could Make Love To A Bottle
Parody
Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce
Unreleased
Tours
The First Tour
Tour Of The Universe In 3-D
IF I COULD MAKE LOVE TO A BOTTLE
The first thing that I'd like to do
I'd search the world over to find one
that had the exact same circumference as you\"
I couldn't find a lyric page for the other song, but I am sure if I saw the lyrics, I would want to hear it too!

QUOTE What about \"Orgy On My Own\"? Am I just sick, or is this what the title suggests?
Well, why not both?
(OE hums "I Was Only Kidding" under her breath)
I know I've read some place that Al used to do some more "adventurous" material when he was just starting out, before he began playing venues that were attended by kids. But he also said in one interview that "If I Could Make Love To A Bottle" was the bluest song he ever did. So whatever "Orgy On My Own" might be, it's probably not as salacious as it sounds (I do love using words like "salacious").
I'm still wondering about Knott's Berry Farm, though. That hardly qualifies as a venue without children.

But he was opening for "Missing Persons" so perhaps there weren't too many young kids. And the ones that were there were already warped.
Bluest? Hmmm.... "Bottle" is one of the few that I know the original being referenced. Would you consider "Time In A Bottle" blues? I wonder what Al meant by bluest? (I just got it.
Never mind.)
Salacious. Sounds like something you'd find in only the best salad bars.
Yes. I do know what it means...
