Yeah, that was my girlfriend that got the last one...
She said afterward that she felt really bad about screwing it up for everyone else, but that she knew she only had one chance and she had to take it. Sorry all. And yes, it was an Al Buck. Right when the song ended I stood up to grab one, and one was fluttering directly toward me so I reached for it, and the second before I could grab it this little eight year-old kid literally tackled me out of the way and grabbed it for himself. My first thought was "Oh well, let the little kid have it", but then my second (and much more violent) thought was "Hey, punk, I've been a fan longer than you've been alive, so fork it over, little snot!" But I have to say a huge thank-you to Ambra again. While we were waiting for Al I told her about it and she was generous enough to give my girlfriend and I a buck each! Thank you so so so so much!

Some people say that chivalry is dead. They're wrong. It lives in me.

You're very welcome Duke! I had three left so I put two in my photo album, one front side up and the other back side up, and I'm sending the other one to a friend of mine in Scotland who's a big Al fan. I'm hoping I can grab some more at the next concert I go to also.
And tell your girlfriend she shouldn't feel guilty; I'm happy she was able to get it signed and it would've been the last autograph Al would've done anyway so I don't think her promising it was the last one made a difference. I'm glad he got some rest because it sounds like he was feeling better at the Raleigh show; being in an air-conditioned theatre probably made a huge difference.

she shouldn't feel bad, she should feel lucky! and i hope my sarcasm was obvious in my previous post, i certainly didn't mean to come off like a jerk.TheOldDuke @ Aug 6 2007, 04:05 PM wrote: Yeah, that was my girlfriend that got the last one...She said afterward that she felt really bad about screwing it up for everyone else, but that she knew she only had one chance and she had to take it. I went to this concert! It is the only Al concert I have ever gone to; it was sooo exciting for me. I'd been a huge fan for ages, and I didn't think he was going to come to any concert locations near me. Then I saw Carowinds on the list! It was a dream come true! Al did a great job and worked really hard to show everyone a great time! It was about 100 degrees outside, and Al was really sweaty from all of the work he was doing.
He sounded and looked great. He puts on a great live show, I was singing and screaming and jumping around the whole time!
I was sitting on the far left side, 3 rows back. I ordered the tickets kinda late, and the first ones I found were 29 rows back, in the middle! Thank goodness I tried again, and found 3rd row seats! YAY!!!
I was very disappointed that we couldn't bring out cameras in. And there was a fence, and police officers around the stage. Al usually did the Wanna B Ur Lover thing where he walks around in the audience, at least thats what I heard. He didn't get to do it here.
Plus, he was too tired to sign autographs, but that ws understandable. I was tired, and I wasn't the one onstage!
After the concert I was deaf for about an hour, but it was COMPLETELY worth it!!!!
Okay... I am done now.....
