Let Me Be Your Hog is easily his best short song. I can see why Jim West himself favors this song.

However you define 'song', I am shocked to see GJWHL being swept under the carpet.
It is not a bad song, and favoring a song that has no point, no story, no nothing, over one that is a regular-length song, and tells a story, and is clever, and is actually funny.

I'm just disappointed.

I define "song" as something with music and lyrics. I give "hog" the edge as a better song because it's so much shorter and therefore more bearable to listen to.

"Lunch" was imposed on Al by the record company suits, and boy can you tell.

ETA: The band's done Hog live, so I think that validates that even they like it better. I don't think Al has ever done Girls.

ETA part 2: Turns out Al has done Girls -- 1985 Food Medley.

nevermind, but Hog is still the better song IMO.
