In a 9 - 7 vote, Stop Draggin My Car Around has been eliminated from competition. Already an upset as it won its bracket as an 8-seed (out of 16; the higher the number, the more sucky it has been rated in tournaments past), SDMCA made it considerably further than anyone would have guessed based on prior performance.

And now it's time for:
Weird Al's Worst: The Elite Eight

For the next four match-ups, we will continue waiting 24 hours for each match-up to complete itself. And we are now back to voting for the WORSE song in each match-up.

These match-ups have been chosen at random. Literally, I put the names of each remaining song into a hat and chose the match-ups that way. (For those that were wondering, the hat in question was a University of Michigan - Flint hat which I purchased as part of my Michael Moore Halloween costume in 2004.)

The first match-up will be posted at 7:15pm PST, and will close at the same time on Tuesday.
