I find it annoying when someone pronouncers Al's last name wrong on purpose.

Also, if I try to correct some people, they just try and blow me off. Very irritating.
Sorry for straying off topic :S but you have to admit that that is the best looking off topic banner you have ever seen!

Those people are mean. I hate it when people blow off what others say!
I like all animals...well except for monkeys, because they climb all over your face and slap you!

I've heard kids call him that before. It doesn't bug me, because it's usually just the kid failing at pronouncing "Al," and not actually thinking his name is "Owl."

We find it so annoying because we are true fans... the people who say they are fans but call him that are just pretenders.

It doesn't really bother me that much because, after all it did USED to be Yanko-vich, and his grandparents even spelled it that way.. I have seen it on the 1920 and 1930 census forms. It was Al's dad that changed it.. dunno why, maybe when he joined the Army he wanted to sound less foreign/more American?

Its worth remembering that 99% of people with that surname still pronounce it -ich.
When I hear people say it that way I just say calmly, "It's Yanko-VICK by the way" and move on. If you flip out people are just going to do it on purpose to annoy you
