I did.

And I'll give their future songs a listen. Hopefully they won't be anything like this one. I appreciate the idea behind this experiment but I don't think they worked hard enough. Or maybe they were trying too hard. One of those.

I think its cute and funny and apart from some of the lyrics, very NON Al-related.. couldnt be more unlike if they'd tried.

It's pretty much along the lines of what Steve does a lot of the time, and personally I adore Steve and massively admire his fabulously off the wall creativity and leftfield approach to life, so I'm right with this. Its a bit of fun, a thank you to the fans, not a bid for stardom or the charts or whatever. I think, yeah you are entitled to your opinion, fine, and so am I without being belittled by another persons sweeping statements and assumptions.

Yes, I know you did, jace, but, it just seemed kinda harsh. We get it. You don't like it. I'm glad you've decided to give future songs a listen, though.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

If you guys are allowed to like it, I should be allowed to not like it and be able to explain why.

It has an accordion in it, I think they're obviously trying to make it an Al "style parody" or whatever. He doesn't really have his own style cause he style parodies everything else so I dunno what the idea was there.

I said I was fine with you not liking it. I'm not fine with you assuming everyone who does like it is a sheep or something. It's just unfair and untrue.

I know a lot of people on this forum who will buy and collect anything with Al's name on it just for the sake of having it as a part of their collection, even if it's not very good.

Not talking about you specifically, but I can name a few. That's what I'm referring to.

No cross fire. I must say I think Jace was pretty brave to say what he said so I guess he has conviction behind what he said so thats fair enough. It'd be a boring world if we were all the same after all :)

Just because it is different that what you are used to, it doesn't mean it is garbage.

I admit that I did have to have the lyrics in front of me while listening in order to "hear" all of the words. Due to the unusual time signature, sometimes it felt like they crammed too many words into one line. I do like how they were able to cover 27 years of band history in one song, though.

The music itself is very catchy. My kids were dancing around the room while it was playing. It is fun, happy music.
