i read a couple books that mentions weird al they are captain under pants the first book in the screech owls and when pancakes go bad.

I can't find my copy right now, but all I know is Principal Krupp (is that the right name? I'll be so amazed if that's right!) is refering to past pranks pulled by George and Harold (that one sounds right). One of them is blasting Weird Al on the monitors for some-number-of hours.
I think it is on a page leading into another chapter, and I think the principal is cackling in the illustration.

I remember coming across the Max 3 one... it was the first time that day I WASN'T thinking about Al... it caught me off guard, and I had to reread it to make sure I wasn't hallucinating XP

yes and its on the first book you can find it on page 34.
