Interesting how nobody seems to have changed their minds either way. Which of course means I'm still firmly in the "Hate it" camp. Depending on how much of it is made available in advance, the next album is gonna feel more like a compilation than a cohesive effort (I know Al's albums are, more or less, just collections of songs--but the fact that they're mostly recorded at the same time and intended for the same release does help give it a unified feel at least).
And Jeremy's #4 is an excellent point I'd never thought of. I didn't care for "Do I Creep You Out" at all when I first heard SOL, but hey, I still had 11 new tracks that I really enjoyed (since I hadn't given in to temptation and pre-listened to DDTS and W&N). But with "Whatever You Like" being a bit underwhelming, I can't just say, "Well, I'm not a big fan of this song, but I can skip to the next song and partake in some fresh Al excellence."
