No, it's true. The full story has been posted on here somewhere before, but in short when I was 12 I was diagnosed with a large brain tumor, and had to spend a while in the hospital. Al was nice enough to call me, send me a care package of autographed stuff, and then he invited be backstage to two concerts that summer.
