I agree Mike. There are loads of "classic" songs that kids know much better than new stuff that comes out. My 14 year old is into The Doors, Nick Cave, and Siouxsie and the Banshees but hey I think even Al would struggle to make a lot of laughs out of THOSE! LOL

I'd love to see Al parody "Peek-A-Boo" and record practically the whole drum track backwards.

Flobots parody anyone...?

I see it as a medley song. I know Al has parodied already funny songs, but I think he should stay away from doing a parody of this.

That's true. I don't know what he could turn it into... I expect it to be in a polka medley too, but still, it doesn't hurt to wish.

Achy Breaky Song is poking at a generic unnamed "bad song", not Achy Breaky Heart itself.

That's how I see it.

(Then again, as JEDM pointed out to me, Al does say "I just can't take no more of Billy Ray"... but I still think that it doesn't mean Al is actually mad at anything. The narrator is obviously over reacting, so it's all fun.)
I think it was all in good fun, cause that stupid song was played every 15 minutes on the radio.

I heard somewhere that in the end, Al thought it sounded a bit too mean spirited, so he donated money earned from royalties of that song to a charitable foundation. Forget which one, but I think it was Cerebral Palsy. It's listed on the Alapalooza liner notes.
That's what you get when you let your heart win.

Yeah, it was the Cerebral Palsy Foundation or something of that nature.

I think a parody of Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" is almost guaranteed as well as maybe something by Lil' Wayne although I don't know that any of his hits are that universal quite yet. A Jay-Z parody (he has a new album on the way) or at least polka inclusion would be nice. And I am still pushing for that Radiohead style parody....

I'm rooting for a Dragonforce anything.... polka, parody, style, doesn't matter to me. :P
