Well, I'd understand the love for notebook paper. I bet you doodled a lot in class *laughs*.  It's a lot easier for being discreet too. ((I got in trouble a lot because my Studio Art teacher had hammered into our brains that notebook paper is not to be drawn on, so all my other teachers would see me reaching into an extra folder to pull out some computer paper hahaha))
I still doodle in class, hopefully I get art class so I can draw without getting in trouble...or nice teachers who let kids draw.

I don't let anybody see my sketch book..or my unused school notebooks...so many crappy Al pictures, nintendo stuff, even things I have no clue about :P

Hahahaha I know that feeling...

But she's sort of accepted the type of person I am now, so I can leave stuff lying around. She gives me the "oooookay..." face a lot more often now, though.

Well, my mother, I think, internally but not out-loud..ly... makes fun of my obsessions for Al and other music, like Queen. :(

WHAT? I mean, I get Al a little bit, because my mom was creeped out by him until she actually met him, but QUEEN?

Queen makes so much good music!

You are sooo right... they are legends.

My mother's just initially not into any music, yet she sometimes sings Alanis Morrisette and The Smiths songs for some reason.. but I guess in some subconcious way she doesn't believe in caring for your musical interests too much... if you know what I mean.

Well, I guess I understand. Everyone's different in their preferences and priorities. I just think it's kind of weird that she'd think your interest in Queen was something to "make fun of" since they've pretty much established themselves.

...but then, Al has too, in his own way. *laughs*

I suppose I'm just in a really musically oriented family, and heck, it was my parents who introduced me to Queen. *laughs*

My dad (who doesn't live with me, BTW) introduced me to Queen... but it was my MATH TEACHER who introduced me to Al... hhahaah..

WOW, teachers tend to do the Al-introducing for a lot of people I know. I guess it has something to do with their inherent nerdiness that just fits the profile of an Al fan. *laughs* Plus, they're being paid to corrupt your brains. Might as well do it with something awesome-tastic.

Also, born from a conversation in the drooling over Al topic...
