They should have a "write a corny original slogan" thing as well at least, and make an actual contest out of it instead of a lucky dip

Sleep is overrated!
There were a TON of people waiting by the busses afterwards, so he did come out after huh?? He was in good spirits last night
Bear Hug from Jon
and a bear hug from Al
Great show, great pictures were taken, though I don't know how quickly I'll get them up, as I have a very busy hectic schedule this week. Maybe while I'm resting in my hotel room in California this weekend. LOLOL
It was awesome to see everyone even if it was just a quick Wave
, right Alexis?

Got into Rockford a little early, took some pics at the venue, went and saw where the buses would park...wasn't exactly sure what the venue would do with security, but they were accessible as long as security wasn't bad.
Decided to try to find a mini-golf place, and went into Loves Park. Jared & Dan were staying at a Holiday Inn Express there, so I decided to go look them up first. I ended up staying there and hung out until time to go to the concert. Dan looked at his ticket, and he saw that it was actually a 7 start time, instead of 8...So, we left immediately, went to dinner, and then on to the venue...got there about 6:45 to our seats, I had 2nd row...one of the lucky tickets still open right before the concert...
The concert actually ended up starting before time at 6:59, which was a surprise...It was a great show, maybe not a last concert show...even though, there were some high points the Nirvana cheerleaders were EXTREMELY good, I complimented them after the concert...they were getting ready to go upstairs...They were probably the best cheerleaders I've seen at show, at least in a long time...I think they even ended up beating the ones that were at Scranton, PA...and if u were there, then you know they were great...Al did a few different thing at different parts...still did Bob, but I don't know...just didn't seem like all of my other shows...not sure if it was just that I knew it was my last show, and had that on my head, or what...
Went outside, and was one of the best meet-n'-greets, I've been too...Security was actually having a great time...they were playing around with the fans and the band...all of the band came out and were really relaxed. Our little group sang Close To You with Ruben...I talked to Steve for a long time, posed with a cowboy hat with him for a really good picture, it was nice to have another good conversation with him, after a little break...Talked to Jim for a little while...and then eventually after a couple hours, Al came out...I told him that I wasn't lieing this time, it really was my last show...he replied that he didn't believe me...I joked that Dave had offered my tickets for Montana...he said, well, if it was true, than he would miss me...he turned down my handshake for another hug, big bear hug....I then went back out, talked to Hammer for a little bit, he told me the Cubs had won..as we were both Cubs fans, got a pic with him....went and finished up talking with Steve before I left, and got a big bear hug from him too...They had to drag Steve on the bus, as they were leaving...I'm really gonna miss these guys, had such a blast these last couple years..doesn't seem like it should be over...

Well, Jeremy, I'm so glad your last show had such a nice greet and meet experience following it. You've really had quite the adventure! So nice to read your reviews. Thanks for sharing, and hope the withdrawals aren't too bad.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

yeah, security was really really super at this place.
I had my Canon in my face the whole time. the poor kid next to me was probably getting frustrated with me, if he was, and he's in here... kiddo... you were great, i'm glad you enjoyed the show even with my arm, lens and sometimes my body in your way..
it was a tight fit in those chairs.. and I sat on edge the whole time, just so there was extra room, and I wouldn't get bumped while taking a picture. Unfortunately, that did happen one or two or three times.
I'll have to review my pictures tonight, and see how they turned out
Jeremy, hopefully your withdrawls aren't terrible. You have so many wonderful memories to keep you going though.. How in the world did I NOT see you last night?? Then again, I missed a lot of people yesterday.. hmmm.
I was also in the 2nd row on Steve's side.. he was making faces at me at first.. then later on I found out who he was really paying attention to, and it wasn't me. LOL
BUT he was making faces and even posed for a picture ... lol His antics last night were a lot of fun

I really enjoyed the concert last night, too! The band seemed to be having a great time onstage and I know that all of us in the audience were having a blast, too! I agree with you all about the security - they were so friendly and agreeable, yet still did their job. It was nice to get to talk with the band members - I spoke with Ruben and we got into a bit of a debate about Danny Elfman's & Melbrooks' way of "writing" music.
Later, when Al came out, I told him that I loved his work and asked him to sign a Joker card I had in a deck of cards I had gotten in Greece. He did and I got a super picture of the two of us. All in all, a great night

The show itself was fantastic, though there was some minor sound problems here and there. Right as Al started singing for Bedrock Anthem, his mic wasnt working, so you couldnt hear the first line very much. Steve and Jim's mics werent working too well for White & Nerdy either. At times you could hear them, other times you couldnt. Oh, and the spotlight stayed on at the end of the song for about 30 seconds while Al and the band just stood there still waiting for it to go out...finally Al just shrugged and walked off. haha...it was a great moment.
Perfect night all around for me until we got back to the room. Dan's camera decided to corrupt my picture with Al. Of all the concert pictures it had to choose from to corrupt, it decides to corrupt my pic with Al. I did get to see it before the camera decided to mangle the file though...it turned out AWESOME..... >:S
Ive tried doing some file recovery on it...but...not much to recover when the file is 0 MB. UGHH. I got awesome...non-corrupted pictures with Steve, Ruben, and Jim though. I commented on Steve's hat right before Dan was about to take our picture, and Steve was asked me if I wanted to wear one, because he had a second one on the bus. So he put the picture on hold and made a trip over to the bus to grab a second near identical hat for me to wear for the picture. It was really cool. I was wearing my bowling shirt like Al's, and had him sign some of the pins for me...one he signed "Steve", and one right und- I mean, ABOVE it, "Jay"...so it looks more like a Jay Steve signature. haha. I also had Ruben sign the shirt, which I figured he'd just sign one of the pins with Ruben...wrong. He signed his name, with each letter having its own pin...then of coarse Andy jokingly suggest writing his last name too...so of coarse Ruben is like OKAY! So I got the same deal with his last name as well. Meeting Ruben was a real treat. He's very very tough to keep up with though! Man...the guy has so much energy and is so spontaneous, joking around. It was real intense and a lot of fun! Met Jim very briefly, had him sign a DTBS tape for my friend (Steve signed it as well), and we posed for a pic.
Al comes out about 2 hours later. It was a very nice quick meet with him sitting on the stairs of the bus. He commented on my shirt, and I told him that I was sorry for sneaking backstage...then having the band vandalize it. He laughed at that...I made him laugh. Im happy.
He was in very good spirits, not quite as soft spoken as I'm used to him being when Ive met him. Then we posed for a picture...err...a GREAT picture...now wiped from existence...I told him that it was my 17th show, and my last one until next tour, and he said "I'll see ya then", shook his hand again, and said goodbye.
Right before I met Al I talked to Hammer a little bit. He commented on my shirt...then started yelling out to the crew standing around "Hey we got a guy over here that snuck into wardrobe and stole Al's shirt!" haha, it was fun meeting him. I hope he's back next tour.
We ended up talking to Steve again for a while before the bus left...and just like in Des Moines, and Davenport last year, the crew had to come out and get him so they could leave. haha. I got a hug from Steve and we called it a night.
It was awesome fun hanging out with you again Alexis! I'm sure I'll see ya around next tour! :Andy...have fun with that paper clip that almost took off Ruben's finger. haha. Kaffy...once again we didn't get to meet...I didn't even see you there actually...hm...well, next tour! And Jeremy, of coarse...thanks again for everything buddy...giving us a ride to the show. Never a dull time hanging out with ya...hopefully we can team up and do some more serious tourchasing.
Was a great ending for my SOL tourchasing! I had a blast during the show...great center 3rd row seats. I never expected the meet & greet that we got...very nice closing for the night. I can't wait till next time!
