To DVD, or not to DVD?

Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

Maybe, but if he does bring back LAS it will probably just be in the medley (I hope he would he puts his foot behind his head during it). I think Al should do 2 medleys, one with newer songs, then one with LAS, Theme From Rocky 13, I want A New Duck, Jurrasic Park, Since You've Been Gone, etc.

That'd actually be pretty cool, or adventually, (Unlikely) If he stops doing cds, He could have an "Old & New Tour" With A mix of fan favorites from over the years, Including things like Another One Rides The Bus, My Bologna, Hardware Store, Dare To Be Stupid, Some Polkas, and just make it an exciting night for people who like the Old and New Al.

I also think, If he ever brought back DTBS, he should bring the plastic cow from the Music Video, that'd be a cool thing to see, or like keep it in the lobby so people could get a picture with it or something, You know something Weird for a Weird guy?

That would be like getting a picture with the Turkey Hill Duetto cow, the one with the pink swirl on it, and as tall has a 1 level house, Which I also have a picture with, it's pretty cool.

It'd also be pretty cool if they brought out a cut out of Mr. Whipple, the charmin guy :)

My answer is the same every time this question comes up -- UHF!
I requested it to Al at Alcon, and I even heard a little of it during a sound check at the 2002 OC Fair -- it could happen -- one day.
This means something. This is important.

I'm actually hoping that he keeps Pentiums and adds Virus Alert to the end of it. That, and all the RWS songs seemed the most popular at the concert I went to, so I don't think they'll be retired anytime soon.

OTOH, there's more fingers.
Sever your leg, please. It's the greatest day.

A new concert DVD would be awesome, though I agree that it should be the next concert, after Al's next album (and music videos).

I don't know if Al's concerts usually have the same number of songs, but I'd like this to be the setlist for the next concert:the next polka medleyWhy Does This Always Happen to Me?Such a Groovy Guysomething from the next albumOde to a Super Herosomething from the next album (or a concert-only song)something from the next albumClose But No CigarMedley: something from the next album, The Night Santa Went Crazy, Dog Eat Dog, I'll Sue Ya, something from the next album, Midnight Star, and Eat ItWhite and NerdyCouch PotatoSmells Like NirvannaFatsomething from the next albumIn Love with the Skiper (the full song... or maybe this can alternate with Isle Thing)Airline AmyWanna B Ur Loversomething from the next album (or concert-only song)The Saga BeginsYodaDo I Creep You Out?something from the next album (or You're Pitiful)Don't Download This SongEncore: Albequrque As for bonus features, there should be a commentary track. There's a lot to say about the songs as well as the history of Al's concerts (and I find it odd that on the Weird Al Yankovic - LIVE! DVD the only commentary appear sin the bonus music videos). Other bonuses should include clips from recent AL-TV specials (maybe ones that wouldn't need permission from anybody, like the Harvy the Wonder Hamster clips and maybe the "Ask Al" segment from the 1999 special) and whatever new music videos are around by then (by "new music videos" I mean anything that was broadcast/ released after Straight Outta Lynnwood).

Great set list, except that the medley only contains parodies. There are a few other things that seem out of place too, like SAGG.

Well, there was an "Ask Al" resposne where Al said that he usually likes to include one semi-obscure song in his concerts (though for his current one I can't figure out which song that would be; Hmm, ditto with the Live! video). Though I guess that Such a Groovy Guy would me more obscure than semi-obscure (I wonder how a song would be determiend "semi-obscure"). Despite what setlist I wrote, as far as obscure/ semi-obscure songs from the first album go (and I guess that criteria would define any song from that album that ain't Ricky, I Love Rocky Road, My Balogna, or Another One Rides the Bus), I would rather it include Gotta Boogie, The Check's in the Mail, or Stop Dragging my Car Around.

My guess is "a style-parody from the last album" rule is what he means by "semi-obscure".

Such as "Touring With Scissors" having "The Night Santa Went Crazy.
"Poodle Hat Tour" having "Your Horoscope For Today".
And Straight Outta Lynwood having "Bob/Why Does This Always Happen To Me?".

Songs that the new fans know really well, but new-comers who've only heard the recent album of the time will be introduced to it.

My guess is that next tour it will be "Virus Alert" performed live, or maybe "Weasel Stomping Day".
