To DVD, or not to DVD?

Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

Okay, if Al were to release a new live DVD, HERE is everything that would intersect both discs, without improvement necessarily:

- It's All About The Pentiums
- Bedrock Anthem (Medley)
- Pretty Fly For A Rabbi (Medley)
- Gump (Medley)
- Eat It (Medley)
- Smells Like Nirvana
- Amish Paradise
- Fat

That's four full songs - FOUR! - and less than a third of the medley (which Al wouldn't have to cut anything from, since T-Pain gave permission in the first place!)

Yeah, yeah, there's also "Saga Begins" and "Yoda" - but he could perform "Saga" with the 501st and the extended "Yoda" chant. So, upgrades in my book.

C'mon, Al! Quit holding out on us! "My Baby's In Love With Eddie Vedder" gets preserved on DVD for all time, but "Wanna B Ur Lovr" and "Albuquerque" DON'T?

On the other hand, it WOULD be kinda hard to explain "We All Have Cell Phones"...
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn...that's alright because I like the way it hurts...

And those bottom four songs would be present regardless of whenever another "Live!" project is released.

I'm TOTALLY with you on this FredHuggins. A new LIVE DVD would not be "doubling up" on anything like the scale of a Greatest Hits I think
Its been what? 9 years, and as you say the set has moved on a lot. Besides he could edit out "Fat" (PLEASE!) and put in WDTAHTM/Bob instead... whichever.. from a different show.. or just have clips from various different shows anyway. The revised Yoda chant , Albuquerque, and all the rest deserve preservation on more than wibbly You-Tube snippets

Put me in the "don't really care" column. I mean, a new live DVD would be nice, I guess. But there's nothing that special about any of the NEW performances, with the exception of WBUL and Albuquerque.

Personally, I'd prefer if he just cut the tour short and got to work on the next album.

*don't spam me!* :F

You're just bitter because he's not coming to Florida.

He already said he's not releasing a live dvd for this tour. He said nothing about the next one, though. We can hang on to that hope, I guess.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I agree, it's the same fricking setlist. Get working on the next album!

Part of me wishes he were still with Scotti Bros. so that he'd have someone hounding him to put out new albums every year. :F

I still haven't seen Al live after listening to him for more than 12 years but I'm totally on the "Cut the tour short and do another album!" train.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!
