Those would be the notorious aftershow passes. They have Al's face on them, and a date stamp. They also change colors- I have a dark yellow/gold one, a magenta one, and a few green ones.

Thanks for the detailed report, Diva. I would add another >:S smiley for Pentiums being cut as well...it would be tough to see a show without that song. Looking forward to seeing the picture of that family. Did you take any pics of the show? I'd love to see those as well. My aftershow pass from Jackson was magenta. I'll just have to wait and see what color the Meadowbrook pass will be....getting closer!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!
Al Team #325

Just like in many other situations... it's not what you know, it's who you know. Basically, there are two ways to get an aftershow pass: know someone in the band or crew, or know someone running the venue who can talk to the band or crew.

So if you know someone in the band or crew you ask them or the venue?Kristine @ Jun 29 2008, 07:52 PM wrote: Just like in many other situations... it's not what you know, it's who you know. I know I made it sound fairly simple, but it's not always that easy. It's not just about asking- you have to ask the right person, and you have to know the person. Just calling the venue will not help. The venue doesn't have the passes. If you know someone working there, they may have access to the right people, ya know?Kayy911 @ Jun 29 2008, 07:53 PM wrote: So if you know someone in the band or crew you ask them or the venue?

Perhaps it was just me and my seat, but the sound system seemed a little "off". The band sounded awesome but like sometimes I couldn't hear Al and the lyrics. Otherwise an excellent show! That makes two shows in a row with no disasters. I guess the Konocti curse is officially broken.

I had ear plugs in and it sounded off, but when I took them off it sounded just fine, although yes I think they were having trouble with Al's mic, cuz they kept switching it. And what was going on with Steve's Bass early in the show, it looked like he kept switching or something.U62 @ Jun 29 2008, 08:09 PM wrote: Perhaps it was just me and my seat, but the sound system seemed a little "off". Well, basses and guitars change for different needs and also if its tuned differently. It would take too long for them to tune the bass or guitar for each song, so they have multiple ones for that. Also, the polka has different sounds and needs so usually the polka has its own instruments.
