That seems like a pleasant option. I'm feeling like sleeping right now. Yay for computer class, I can pretend to pay attention while typing on Woway.

My younger cousin (just turned six) is really into Al. I am quite pleased with that.

My mom loves Al. She enjoys his songs and anything else he comes up with. She even planned a road trip for me just so I could see a concert last year.

My dad absolutely hates him and insists that he's just a "no talent hack who rips off other peoples music for a living." He also calls me immature for liking Weird Al, TMBG, The Flaming Lips and "that music you listen to that would never appear on the top 40."

I would call liking that a point in your favor. :Y
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Well, you can tell your dad that Al has had quite a few songs in top forty!!!

My family drove me across three states to see Al!!!! :inlove:

This is a funny story actually, my Grandma and Grandpa REALLY wanted me to have good seats at the concert (front and center, they where BEAUTIFUL) so they woke up at the crack of dawn and CAMPED OUT in front of the venue!!!

I guess it was EARLY in the morning and here where two old folks camped out for Weird Al tickets :P
Oh snap!

Aw, that was so sweet of your grandparents! The only concerts I've been to were in my state, but I'm actually going to the Baltimore show which isn't my state, but it's about an hour away from me.

weirdojace, your dad should watch the biography. That definetly changed my grandparents' minds about Al. Every time I talk on the phone with them, they always ask, "So when are you going to see Weird Al again?"

Just replace the word "dad" with "husband" and that's what I deal with every day, Jace. He has said almost exactly the same thing on several occasions. It's tough being a fan when someone you love has such a dislike for Al. When hubby starts with his rants, I just tell him he's not gonna change my opinion, no matter what he says.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!
