Al first parodied that speech WAAAAAAY back in 1986, when he made the "Weird Al's Guide to the Grammys" for CBS.

Here's a video of it on youtube. The quality is really crappy on this clip though. The acceptance speech parody starts at about 4:30 in the clip.

Actually, as you can see in the video, the Fred Huggins bit from TWAS is actually not much more than a modified version of this 1986 bit.

Did anyone see the epsiode? Al was really funny as Wreck-Gar! I hope that he comes back soon!

And a nice touch:

"I am Wreck-Gar. I dare to be stupid."

Well, yes, we have seen it. It was up on YouTube before it premiered on Cartoon Network. You can read our comments if you scroll back. I did watch it twice on tv, though. I liked the Wreck-Gar character, too.

Anyone else get a Short Circuit vibe from this episode? Robot comes to life from a spark of electricity, is really naive, and makes mistakes while trying to learn more about himself. I like the innocence of the character.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Yeah, your probably right!!!!

I wish MY dad would guest star on some show... <_<

But then again my dad isn't Weird Al... (thats a good thing too, if Al was my dad, my current avvy would seem... creepy to say the least!)

Yeah, it'd be pretty creepy to have a picture of your dad as an avatar.

I meant in general, it would be weird if a girl had a sexy picture of her dad as an avatar.
