Oh man, I remember bad opening acts. Rachel the Angry Wardrobe Girl in Asbury Park in 2000, and that Bullhorn guy in NYC and Morristown again in 2000. Not to mention that puppet guy at the PNC in 2003 and 2004.
I was elected to lead, not to read.

I know a singing wrestler who I hear on the radio all the time who'd be just the awesomest opening act ever, but he seems to have quite the stick up his butt when it comes to Al

Any opening act that gives everyone enough time to use the bathroom before Al works :P
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

I remember Tonic Sol-Fa opened for al in Minneapolis last year, they were not the best, but it looked like Half the people there bought there CDs, or already had them. if only Al sold his CDs at concerts, then they would be getting twice what they get from Merch. I don't know if they tired that before, but maybe people were stealing them.

I love that band...
