You may have noticed that I haven't posted in weeks. Well, I've been busy. I just got a degree in video game designing, and I flew to Nintendo Headquarters with some game ideas. One of my ideas just happened to be a Weird Al Yankovic game, and coincidently, Nintendo was already developing one for the Nintendo Wii. But Nintendo thought my idea was so much better that Nintendo asked me to finish working on the game, and a mix of the original ideas and my ideas were combined for an ultimate game.
The game is a big parody of various video games, and titled Weird Al and the 19 Gold Spatulas (it was originally called Weird Al in Blunderland, and involve silver sneakers, but Nintendo liked mine better). It will contain 27 worlds with four levels each. Almost every world will be based on a specific game or franchise. For example, world one will invovle parodies of Pac-Man, with Al collecting bread crums and avoiding the ghosts of Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, Karen Carpenter, and Janis Joplin.
Oh wait, I haven't explained the plot yet. An evil prince, whose name is an unpronouncable symbol resembling a light bulb with a saw inside of it, steals Al's 19 golden spatulas. After each world Al will either get one of the spatulas or a different-colored accordion. Al must "collect 'em All Back!" Twinkie Weiner Sandwhiches produce an extra life, while spinach cake turns Al into a zombie. There will be many bonus games, including one that spoofs the Virtural Boy.
One world spoofs the Super Mario Bros. franchise, with gaphics resemblign Super Mario Bros., and elements of the latter games included as well. The screen only scrols one way, and Al complains about it whenever a player tries to move him back. Bonus games are similar to Mario Kart (with Al racing his band mates) and Dr. Mario. There is even a nod to the japanese Mario 2 and the minus worlds.
Some worlds combine elements of many different games. One world will mix Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, The Simpsons: Bart vs. The Space Mutants, and the Beavis and Butthead video game into one weird parody. Another world combines Paper Boy with the Lion King video game. Talk about weird!
If thsi game sells then a follow-up game, Accordion Hero, will be released.
APRIL FOOLS!!!!! >:)
