back to the ticketmaster experience, for the Merrillville show, I had them pulled up on the website and I had them on the phone, I was able to PICK with the dude on the phone, he gave me options, whereas if I was purchasing at the website, I was stuck with 3rd row because it was purposely looking for 4 all together. If you dont mind being somewhat separated by your group, as I am by 1 row only.. 1 front row ticket, 3 2nd row tickets right behind the front row, then I'd try the phone sales.

Anyhow, thats my 2 cents.. Sorry to steal your thread. hahaha

Aww... the pre-sale is only for standing room. I want balcony seats.... Is the only way to get a decent balcony seat to splurge $150. Cause that's not happening. I'll try for better seats w/ the ticketmaster site.

Well, I think I'm just going to do the standing room. I might wait for TicketMaster, however, if I can't get balcony through there, I'll probably buy the standing room through ArtistArena, so the service fees will hopefully be cheaper. TicketMaster's are usually high, so at least there's a little advantage for that.

Sorry for the double post.

I decided to go ahead and buy the standing room only through TicketMaster. I think this concert will be a blast down in the pit...seems like a nice place. I'm sure the service charges through ArtistArena were much cheaper, only around $6.

Its a nice place, but the standing sucks. I was a little mad that they only had the $150 for the balcony. You would think you could get the cheap balcony seats during the presale. Now my Saturday plans are gonna be screwed up.

Let me introduce you to the photo nazis from last year:

While security was doing checks on people in line, it was nothing better than random at best. I was convinced that if you moved around enough, you could avoid security all together, but eventually, we, being the outstanding citizens that we are, listened to security's threats that people who tried to smuggle cameras into the venue would wish they had never been born, and walked our cameras back to the car.

When we got back inside, most of the line had entered, so there was no way to avoid security. We knew security was on an ego high when they searched the ten-year-old girl in front of us as if she was a hardened criminal. I've been through less security the last time I flew. "Spread your legs. Put your arms out to your sides. Anything in your pockets? You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to an attorney. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." Thank you House of Blues security for protecting me from the evil pre-teen girls taking photographs of "Weird Al" Yankovic for their personal scrapbooks. The security guards at the Stroudsburg show and the Atlantic City show were polar opposites.

I was able to smuggle my camera in by palming it in my hand when they asked me to hold my arms out to the side. Once inside nothing was said to me when it was seen by a security guard. Of course that was pretty much every early show that I attended last tour, by the end of the tour there were no problems, so I'm assuming Al or his management got it out to the venues that they allowed cameras.
