Al tends to avoid politics. Think of all the fodder he could've gotten from W is he'd been so inclined.
This means something. This is important.

I hope he continues to avoid politics (in his work). No matter what he said, he'd have big chunks of his fanbase wincing or steaming at the ears. I don't see how it would be worth it.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

So he won't get sued...? Why is it bad?

That was a free show, with the exception of the VIP seating, which I believe were sold out. I didnt see any open seats at least. This show, and the MN state fair were the 2 largest crowds I've seen. The MN state fair holds 17,000 and it was an almost sold out show.

In order to keep the max number of people happy, you should avoid adding politics into the equation. I think it's also why he doesn't talk about his religion (or the subject in general) much.

When he does Headline News, I think that unless another celebrity goofs up again, he shoud sing the verse about the guy making his wife mad one night. That one always cracks me up.

I don't think he should (or will). The Bobbit story is from '94 and is dated.

Awh, I couldn't bear for Al to part with that "Mr. Happy" bit.

...No one read more into that then you're meant to.
