I like the name. Kinda fits for a grunge band.

I agree, but "Nirvana" is better.

I was just on the Mothership and noticed that the mention of "Al on The Simpsons" on the news page doesn't have anything about his new guest-starring role. Wonder when they'll update it.

Meh. The news page never gets updated that much.

I too fear it's a very small appearance. One of the reasons why I wish he was playing a character instead.

Family Guy is a decent enough show. Not as good as Simpsons or South Park.

Back on topic though, I'm thinking Al's cameo is just a phone call type thing like you mentioned earlier.

I'd like to see Al do something on South Park.

If Al was on South Park, I probably wouldn't watch it.

From Al's MySpace

The Simpsons

You've probably already seen my subtle announcement on this page, but yes, I'm going to be on The Simpsons this Sunday night (Jan. 27)!  This is an extra-special honor for me, because it puts me in a small, elite group of celebrities who have made return appearances on the show – I'm in the same exclusive club as Stephen Hawking and Thomas Pynchon!

The episode is called "That 90's Show."  It was written by Matt Selman and SPOILER   SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! … flashes back to the early 90's, which (apparently through a revisionist timeline) is when Homer was dating Marge.  After Marge dumps him, Homer is so depressed and angst-filled that he and his rock band inadvertently invent the whole grunge movement.  I will appear briefly on a TV monitor, performing a bad parody of Homer's big hit song. /SPOILERS

[Mod Edit: Added spoiler tags just in case]
