Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

I would love to see Mr. Yankovic in more movies, and tv rolls... but one must remember the man is/has been busy. I mean album, tour, kid, wife and much needed down time, there is only so much a man can do. I hope he's enjoying life and not over working himself. But yeah, a nice cameo for the fans would not be a bad idea!

I would LOVE is if Al were on Craig Ferguson, as either a guest or performing a song, or both. Craig Ferguson is amazingly funny.

Well, the last time he was on the show was back in 1997 to promote TWAS, which didn't require any singing of course, so if one of those projects that he's been shopping around Hollywood ever gets produced then there's always the chance he could show up as just a non-singing interviewee again.

The last time Al was on the show to perform, however, was back in 1996 when he sang "Since You've Been Gone," so I don't know if the show's "two minute limit" policy was in effect then. Of course, right after he was done singing, Screechy Lee dimly asked him, "What was that a parody of?", so maybe that also contributed to his decision to not perform on the show since then.

Well, I don't know if it was even really Al's decision to not perform on the show since SYBG. It's probably more that they haven't invited him again since TWAS. "Running with Scissors" and "Poodle Hat" weren't nearly as big as BHD or OTDE. And we know that just a few major talk shows invited him to promote SOL.

The Soup is basically the same show, but the new host is downright hilarious. But now they focus on not just talk shows, but the lame reality shows like Hollywood Tan, The Girls Next Door, etc. Joel's hilarious. Only show I catch on E! to tell you the truth.

Plus, I liked Al's turn on Vh1's "I Love the" Series of shows.

Oh for cryin' out loud...I forgot that I couldn't possibly just know something, because I've never done anything Al-related that would indicate that I do extensive research...sheesh!!!

"Ask Al" Q&As for February, 2000

Karla of Lindon, Utah asks: Were you surprised about the "Achy Breaky" question on “Donny and Marie” and were they *really* good sports about it?

I had actually mentioned that song to the show’s producer during the pre-interview, and I knew they were going to ask me about it. I think they were mostly pretending to be upset - they’re professionals, and they realize that what I do is all in good fun. By the way, they had asked me to perform a song on the show, but only if I could cut it down to under three minutes. Being the uncompromising artiste that I am, I declined, since I didn’t want to hack any verses out of “Saga” or “Pentiums.” (I also recently turned down a chance to be on Regis & Kathie Lee for the exact same reason - only their stipulation was that the song had to be under TWO minutes!!)

Good god already...someone please PM me when the record stops skipping. <_<

I'm sorry, Greg, did someone question the validity of your original post about the 2 minute rule? Maybe I missed that, but at least now anyone who might not have believed you will now. Thanks for posting that quote from Ask Al.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I would really to like to see Al on Saturday Night Live....the cast isn't the best but I think Al could do great either as a musical guest or host or even both.

And before THAT, Al was on to promote Alapalooza, and while playing accordion and singing "Achy Breaky Song" he simply forgot the words to the second verse on live TV. Maybe the show is just cursed.

Plus, if I remember correctly Al's never been interviewed on that show without Regis asking what he majored in in college, then being SURPRISED by the answer.
