27 Years In The Making

Hey guys! I know I sort of pop in and out of the forum and don't post a lot but this is something I've been thinking about/working on for quite some time so I figured it was about time to get the ball officially rolling.

Let me give you a little bit of background first...I am an actor/producer currently working in the St. Louis, MO area and have been working in some capacity of film and television for a little almost three years now. I have been steadily increasing my list and contacts and trying to move toward moving to Los Angeles as soon as possible. All of that being said, although my true passion is acting, I have always wanted to direct a film and even more so, I have wanted to see Al in another one. Which brings me to my idea.

The film is currently titled, "27 Years in the Making" and would be a complete, definitive biopic of Al's life from that epic day when he received his first accordion to his current status as the most successful comedic musical artist of all time. I realize this has been done in some part through shows on VH-1, MTV, Biography, and many other media venues but this would be a complete story. It would also include the fans perspective just as much as all things Al.

As you can imagine, this would be a GINORMOUS project and I will need everyone's help. In the coming months I will conducting interviews, collecting anecdotes, and trying my best to keep everyone informed of my progess.

Here's the biggee...no film about Al would be complete without, well, Al and the band. So, Bermuda if you see this message, please send the message along. Thanks!

So for now, if anyone has stories they wouldn't mind sharing about meeting Al, concert occurrences, and all that jazz, please get them together and I will let you know when I need them.

I reckon that would be an awesome project, but I have a feeling Al has said he didn't want to do a project like that? I'm sure his views have been discussed in a topic for a similar project, but maybe someone else can confirm?

Wow, that'd be amazing! I'd love to see something like that made. You have a noble goal there, sir. ^^
