[gigantic grin] That's because you didn't hear it *IN* Albuquerque. Or Rio Rancho, wherever the heck we were. It was pretty awesome there, especially after having to wait through 6 other songs to hear it. I loved Albuquerque live! I will say, at the Detroit show, even though I had to stand for more than 3 hours *That includes the waiting forever for the winds to die down so the show could start*, I was just as happy and dance-y as I was when the show started. But I sure paid with sore muscles when I got home!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

I agree - Albuquerque is amazing live!
One of the best live versions I heard wasn't Al's. During the Poodle Hat tour after the Merrillville, IN show, a large group of fans waiting for the meet and greet that didn't happen broke into song and sang Albuquerque from beginning to end. Just thinking about it still gives me chills.

I'll Sue Ya is a big one for me....that's one of the few songs where I can't get enough of the live version, but I don't really like the studio version. I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved I'll Sue Ya ever since I first heard SOL, but once I heard the live version, it blew the studio version out of the water to me. Then of coarse I prefer the live versions of Yoda, for the energy and the chant, and Albuquerque. He keeps doing different things during that song, you never know what to expect...my favorites that Ive seen in person are when he was picking on Marty Lick constantly during the Torso Boy part in University Park, IL, and also in Des Moines where someone left their water at the edge of the stage. "Is this your water over here? <Al picks it up and throws it at them> It's been bugging me all night!"
2018 Tour: Rochester, Minneapolis, Fargo, Clear Lake, and Green Bay...so far...

Albuquerque is probably my favorite song of his to hear live, the energy and adrenaline rush he delivers while singing it live is just amazing, it really blows you away. There's nothing more intense then singing (no, screaming is more like it) so many lyrics along with Al for 11+ minutes, while thousands of people around you do the same thing. Right up after that one for me is Yoda, mainly because I've made it one of my many life's goals to memorize that lovely little chant they do. After that...I dunno, one of his medleys is always nice to hear live.

Albuquerque is a lot of fun because, as said before, you don't know what's going to come next. Al might yell at someone in the audience, yell in general, or fall to the ground screaming with flesh-eating weasels on his face. Its a total shocker each time and it really make it a fantastic encore!
