Drooling Over Album 13

Does Al really have a formula? The whole thought of one bothers me. I know he tries to keep that in mind but the idea that each album has to be like that is bizarre.

I don't think Al really follows a specific formula, but it just has happened to have 12 tracks on the past few CDs. Doesn't anybody remember when SOL was first delayed, the website said something along the lines of "Al has finished recording and mixing 10 songs for the new album and he may or may not record another one.

But then it turned out that he did *two* more. Originally "Do I Creep You Out" wasn't going to be on the album. He recorded that roughly around the same time as "White and Nerdy".
However, I would kind of like to see the same "formula" for the next album, if that is the case. It is just enough songs for me to enjoy and disect for the next year or two. Then that gives me a year to be in anticipation of the NEXT album.

I'm too lazy to look to see if a potential date was mentioned on the other pages of this thread, but I figured album 13 (if and when) wouldn't come out until 2010.
Here's how I figure:
2008 - Second leg of SOL tour
2009 - Writing and recording of originals
Early 2010 - Writing and recording of parodies
Mid 2010 - Release of Album 13

Sounds reasonable.

What if Album 13 was digital download only? That way, he can release Album 14, and not have released an Album 13.

Well it was said somewhere that his contract calls for a new album every 3 years. So that means 2009, which means there is most likely no 2008 tour. So he will probably start writing soon, after all, there are only 14 months till 2009.

I'm with Jace on this but I must point out...why would Al skip over #13 instead of #14 (what a stupid number)!
