;( I feel sad for the Al, Suzanne and Nina - such an empty space is left when a pet goes. Poor Nina - Bela has been in her life since the beginning.
I'm not comfortable in my comfort zone - it's poorly named.

This so sad! It's always hard to lose a pet; they're part of the family and no matter how long we have them, it never seems like enough time. My deepest sympathies and prayers to Al, Suzanne, and Nina.

This is just... awful. I wish I could give Al, Suzanne, and Nina all a great big hug.

Goodbye, Bela.

I don't think anything would happen differently. Most people don't know Bela unless you say "From the Poodle Hat cd" or "From the Jessica Simpson interview"

Maybe they'll flash a Bela pic or the Poodle Hat cover at some point during the show, but the most that'll happen is when Bela is shown during the interview, the people who do know who Bela was will applaud.

I'm trying to put this as politely as possible. I've owned several pets in my life and I'm not trying to downplay what something like this does to someone. But something like this is a much different situation than Al went through a few years ago.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

I agree, it is different. But it's still like losing a best friend. A pet is a cherished member of the household, and when they pass away, the void is definitely felt.

I agree Dingo. This isn't like him losing his parents. Not saying it doesn't hurt, but it's not as big. Plus they could always buy a new dog.
