I'll be traveling up from Looneyville (aka Louisville) and was wondering about hotels in the area. Do you know if there are any that are close to the venue? I've never been there before so I don't know much about anything there.
Thanks!

i'm in the same boat as you beanie, I've only ever been to champaign once and that was for work and they put me up. Its a fairly big area so I'm sure there are plenty of hotels available. I'm actually driving out of the area that night to get to my next destination to overnight.
I am going to this one. My first concert, only because he dosen't come near Indiana a lot. I got 2 row seats to the right. As I am typing I am listening to his music. Think i'm too white an nerdy, ........ Hope to see some of you guys. I will have "WEIRD AL" and "27" inscripted in my hair. I will be with a friend and have a lynwood tour tee on.

Hi guys! New here but been an Al fan for years! I am in Champaign so if you have any questions on hotels and such, please ask.
I have my tickets for tonight's show. This will be my 3rd Weird Al concert, 2nd this year. I am taking my 9 year old daughter and she is beyond excited. This is her first real concert and she just became a Weird Al fan in the last year or so. I am also bringing my 21 year old son and my 25 year old niece. Everyone is very excited!
-sigh-
Ah, let me bask in my state of AIH.
I've only gone to one other concert, and I'd almost forgotten how indredibly amazing Al is.
After the show, a bunch of people waited around a bus we thought was Al's. Turns out it was just the crew's, but Steve came out, thinking it was their bus, and I got his autograph and a hug and a picture!!!
He's so sweet.
I waited around until midnight for Al, but like I said, I think Steve just made a mistake and was just sweet enough to come on out and say hello.
All in all, this was amazing. It's pretty much indescribable for me at the moment.
I definitely heard Halle Berry donuts in Albuquerque, which was an AMAZING finale, BTW. My throat hurts from screaming along to all the songs.
I want to go to every single show Al ever does.
Okay, really now, I must be off to bed, to bask in my sweet polka filled dreams.
P.S.--I know this really belongs in drooling over Al, but I must say.... HE IS SO GORGEOUS!! Wanna B Ur Lover was HOTT. Very hot. What I wouldn't give to be one of those girls in the front row. Whew. And he came up near my section and climbed over the rail and practically humped some lady. I was like, "Send him MY WAY!!"
Okay, really, I'm done now.
*contented sigh*
^*contented except she wishes she coulda met Al. Not that Steve's not amazing, and I told him so!!
The concert last night was AMAZING!! My mom was sung to by Al on Wanna B Ur Lover.... it was when he said sometihng about "can I chew on your butt?" lol I was jealous! lol But I got to meet Al backstage, but I didn't say ANYTHING! I was so nervous! I was my first concert..
But I think I saw you Kaffy.... you were two rows in front of me.... I was wearing the yellow Weird Al is my Homeboy shirt... lol
