Well, Kari and I arrived late, so we missed kind of a lot. We met up with Charlie as we were heading in, so we didn't feel so bad about being late. *waves to Charlie* Nice meeting you! Al was over halfway through singing IAATP by the time we got there. I have pics from You're Pitiful and on. We just had life issues and traffic and stuff that made us late, plus, Kari was under the impression that the concert started at 8:00, not 7:00. Regardless of our lateness, we still had a wonderful time. We were too far in for any WBUL love, but we sure did enjoy Al's antics, as always. Our seats were in the center. I'd say we were about 10 rows back or so. Al kept picking on this person in the front row. He did during Yoda, and during Albuquerque. hehe, it was so funny when he wanted this person to sing during Yoda. I never heard anything, but I think this person was laughing. Al kept putting the mic in his face, and tried to get him to sing like 3 times. First he said "Try it again!" then, he said, "We could be here all night!" Soo funny! As already stated, a ton of donuts for Albuquerque. Besides the pistachio Kaffy mentioned, another odd flavor was butterscotch. hehe! Oh, the Halle Berry donuts were back for this show. Backstage was wonderful, Rubén was back there, but we really didn't get a chance to say Hi. I did have Jim sign my Coconut Hat cd, and was trying to tell him *so nervous* about how my Dad and my aunt and uncle really liked it, and how we listened in the car on a trip. Could not remember to mention St, Joseph to save my life. Jim also signed Kari's jeans. After a while, Al came in, and sat at a table in the middle of the room. Kari went first, and I took pics for her. Then, it was my turn. I gave him the Amish Friendship bread, and he thought that was nice. I showed him the summery chocolates, and he asked me where I got them. I told him I made them, and he said "Wow, those are really nice" or something like that *still in AIH* Then, he said something so sweet. He asked if he could wait until he got home, because Nina would really like those chocolates. Awww! I told him the chocolates were flavored, and he said "She is gonna love these!" That is just so darn sweet! He told me I looked very nice, *sigh* and I told him that it was my Renaissance Fair costume. Then, I posed for some pics. I had made a sign for my niece Abby, who will be one tomorrow, and had him hold it for a pic, but when I went to upload my pics, there was no pic with Al holding my happy birthday sign. I'm kinda bummed, because I was gonna send it to my brother. Abby turns 1 year old tomorrow, but my brother had a party for her yesterday. You can see the sign upside down on the table in my pic with Al from when he wasn't holding it. He did sign the sign, so I'll still give it to my brother. I'm very pleased with my me and Al pic. I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat. I got a pic with Jim, too, which also turned out nice. So glad I finally got to meet him. What a nice guy! Got to talk to Jon, give him his chocolates, and get my hug. I didn't get a pic with him this time, but I thanked him for my passes. When I gave him the chocolates, he asked if they looked like anyone, because he said he won't eat things that look like animals or humans, unless they're animal crackers. So funny! I told him they were just chocolates. I made him a Snickers, and Reese's and some Mounds bars, all out of dark chocolate. He thanked me for them. He said he wasn't feeling well, but I still got a hug. Awww! Anyway, I'll get my concert pics in a Photobucket album later, but I'll share my two favorites from last night:
Greg, I PMed you already, but I'm very sorry I was unable to get sigs for the petition because of my tardiness. I'm going to try to wrangle some signatures from the Curves ladies and possibly the ladies on my bowling league. I feel so bad that I was so late to the show.
It was really great meeting you, Nancy. Kaffy, nice to see you again. Fred, Moonbeam, Dan, Zelda27, nice to see you all, too! I really hope he adds another leg, and plays Meadowbrook. I miss seeing him there. Anyway, I had a great time, and everyone backstage was awesome! Thanks again, Jon, for the passes.
