Yeah, I've been following that story for the last couple of weeks. It seems as if Al's was the only show promoted by these folks that actually took place (the constant venue changes aside), and now Sidebar's claiming that they lost money on the concert and are trying to say that it is in part why they can't issue refunds to those who bought tickets for the other (cancelled) concerts they were producing locally.
I don't want to jump to conclusions about the guy running Sidebar, but he seemed as if he wasn't quite prepared to really handle national tours and simply got in way over his head.
Well clearly Al got his money for the show upfront (otherwise they most likely wouldn't have gone on...the whole thing probably stunk of mismanagement), so hopefully nothing else was owed to them from Sidebar.
