Not all deaf people are 100% deaf- most are hearing impaired (moderate all the way to near complete deafness). So, they can hear the music to some extent, but it would be difficult to understand lyrics.

Just because someone is hearing impaired doesn't mean they can't enjoy watching the show!

Yeah, at the OC shows I noticed that the people a few rows in front of me (My seats were bad...) were sitting in front of the sign language interpreters and were hearing impaired. They were laughing a lot before the woman got to the right lyric sometimes but in other times a little late with it. They really loved it, and I knew they were big fans there to see Al and enjoy it no matter what. :)

What did everyone think? It was awesome to hear him do Albuquerque. Also it was fun to meet the 501st guys(Star Wars). The guy that came with me knew em and is in fact a member, but Weird al only wanted helmeted costumes and his is not.

The show was fantastic last night, the theatre seating from the Memorial Hall original venue was kind of an issue. My friends and I got there about 5 minutes before the show started, so they had made all the Memorial Hall original seating general admission. :stern: I had originally 5th row seats if including the original orchestra A according to original venue seating and such. I'll include this whole thing in my review.

Least security didn't care about pictures at all.

We did wait around near the gates by the tour bus, but no Al. We did get Ruben and Bermuda though! That was a nice treat. With those two now, my two friends have gotten to meet all the band members! That made me happy.

I need to go through all my pictures though.

Awesome concert. LOUSY seating. We were supposed to have 2nd row center seats, but nobody told us that they only honored the front row Memorial Hall tickets and the rest of us were general admission. I called the venue and Ticketmaster and neither said it was going to be a mad scramble for seats. That sucked out loud!

We ended up in the 5th row. On the up-side, my sister was on the aisle and Al sang the dryer line to her during WBUL!!!!!! She said to me afterwards, "My clothes do make a lot of noise in the dryer. How did he know?" LOL

Al was funny. He said Hello Kansas City, Kansas! when he was really in KC, Missouri. Just before cell phones, he pulls the tape off the stage which says MISSOURI, holds it up and complained that nobody tells him anything on this tour! Ha ha ha.

The harmonica guy was wearing a shirt that said YOU ARE F**KING WORTHLESS on the back. That everyone could see from the audience.

The storm troopers were funny and again, can't really dance. Darth Vader could boogy though.

Flew home today and went straight to work, so I will try to post photos soon. Very liberal camera policy, so that was a big plus!

I got the "make you my love burrito" line sung to me :) Very cool. This was my first show and it was wonderful!

Love burrito? It's a beef burrito, isn't it? Unless he changed it for you. ;) I've only had the library card line sung to me, but I got the joy of watching him strut from stage left to stage right, turn and walk straight toward me. I was speechless. Glad you got a line sung to you. That's so awesome!

Thanks, everyone, for the reviews.

CB, glad you got to talk to Steve and Rubén. That's cool.

Everyone: Sorry to hear about the sucky seating arrangements. That bites that you had to settle for whatever you could get, even though you thought you had better seats beforehand.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Another random thought from the show:

After the Yankobucks fell, my 5 y.o. nehew spent the rest of the show crawling on the floor collecting them. I dare say he has the largest wad I've ever seen. I took photos of course. Jon and Jim even commented on his wad of bills backstage.

P.S. The seating SUCKED!!!!!!! Did I mention the seating sucked?

algonacchick: I don't know all the lyrics. Maybe I was dizzy from the song :)

I called the Uptown in advance to finf out how they were going to do the tickets. They said they were exchanging them the day of the show at teh box office, so we ran over there right after work to exchange the tickets. I was then told that it was GA for Mem Hall people. We quickly got dinner and got back to the Uptown by 6, doors opened around 6:30 and we got the first row of the white seats. I wasn't pleased with the different stories, and I heard the event staff having problems with where to tell ppl where to go.
