Thanks, Kristine. After reading through some other posts I see that I probably don't have the greatest chance of getting to meet him since it's an outdoor venue and there's a concert tomorrow in MO.

Concert review:

I had a great time at the concert last night. It was suppose to rain but thankfully it didn't. Tonic Solfa opened for Al. After that it took a while to get the show going because they had problems with one of the screens but it was worth the wait because Al put on a fantastic show.

I always enjoy how Al starts out with the polka it gets me so pumped! He finished that then the list went as such from what I can remember right now:
Funzone
Polkaramma
Canadian idiot
Bob
Close but no cigar
It's all about the Pentium's
Your Pitiful
Melody of songs
I'll sue you
The saga begins
Yoda
Amish paradise
White and Nerdy
Fat
Encore including Cell Phones and Albuquerque

Highlights (at least for me)

There may have been more songs that Al sang but I was just so excited. I just really enjoyed the show. There was some Al interviews and cartoon cameos I had never seen before that were played during costume changes. I loved the new parody's during the melody portion of the show. Al is so creative to come up with new songs just special for his concert tours. I went crazy when I saw all the storm troopers and darth vader during The Saga Begins. Then of course at the end the extra doughnuts added to Albuquerque I wasn't sure when he was going to finally say 'bear claws'.

The best part of the night for me was the end. I came with my friend and I really wanted to meet Al since I have been a fan for 11 years now and I have never met him. I saw a bunch of people with back stage passes so we followed all of them but the security guard was saying we couldn't get in without a pass. This couple came up to us and gave us there passes. If whoever you are are on this forum..Thank You So Much! I just was floored. I was super nervous, excited so happy I was ready to cry. I got up to Al and introduced myself, told him I was a huge fan and had him sign my shoe. I was wearing checkered Vans. Then I got my picture taken with him. My friend took a picture arm wrestling him so we had fun meeting him. I still am in disbelief that I actually met the man himself. I never thought it would happen. :D

What a great review! I'm glad you had such a good time, and how nice that those people gave you their passes. I'm glad you got to meet Al. I hope you post pics when you get them, especially the arm wrestling one. Sounds cute!

:D
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

This show was HUGE. Im not sure how big the Orange County venue was...but I know those shows were packed, but I'd have to say, this show had to have been like those. One of the most amazing sights I've ever seen at an Al concert was all of the cell phones waving...there were so many of them. Before the show, Bermuda was out on the stage taking a few pictures of the crowd. Im hoping he'll post those online somewhere.

Edit:

I just found this this morning. I havent been able to listen to it yet since I dont have real player, but Im sure it's great. Because it's Al. :)
