Hello, thread friends...
Does it say on your ticket when the Des Moines gig starts?

First time post, huge Weird Al fan here.
I will be there Sunday front row Seat 3 section B
I will probably have on a Monty Python shirt or Dream Theater/Rush/Symphony X shirt on.
I emailed the venue and cameras are not allowed but I know people sneak them in anyways. Never been to Hoyt Sherman so not sure how strict their security is.
See you all on Sunday.

See you there!
That's very disappointing about the cameras, since on ticketmaster under the rules for this venue it says "flash photography is not allowed". So I figured that as long as you don't use flash then you would be ok.
Then again, it's hard to say if security will even care if you use cameras. Like at the Duluth, MN concert in June, they had signs everywhere saying cameras were not allowed. So i figured that they were going to be really strict about it. But once the concert started we saw flashed going off everywhere and tons of people using cameras... I never saw security bother anyone.
Well i'm leaving tomorrow morning for the Mitchell concert, and them we're off to Des Moines!

I can't wait to go! This will be awesome. I'll probably try to bring in my smaller camera since it's easier to sneak in.
I've had many places say photography is not allowed, but they don't seem to care long as flash doesn't go off.
I'll be there with the Rock Hall petition so make sure to come up and sign it or if you already have signed it somewhere, then just come up and say hi.

Hey, CindyBob and everyone else attending this show--my younger brother (not that young--he's 42) will also be helping with the petition. He's a brand new member of the 501st in Des Moines, and his Darth Vader costume didn't arrive in time for him to go on stage tomorrow night. But he gets to be Darth Vader on the stage at the Davenport show on Sept. 30.
Anyway, if you see a very large, dark haired guy asking for signatures, ask him if his name is Dave and say hi to him and tell him you know his sister. Unless he's doing something that would embarrass me.
Then I don't know him.

Well, gonna be leaving soon. I just have to do some quick things around town before my friends and I go to Des Moines. Woo! Look for the girl in a Rock Hall volunteer shirt with an accordion hawaiian shirt over it. I still look pretty much like I do in my profile picture, just a couple years older. I won't be that hard to miss!
Come say hi to me! I don't bite, I promise.
