From what I've heard, that's how they do it for longer trips. Heck, I wouldn't want to be stuck on a bus for hours and hours and hours... I'd rather fly.

OK, well this reply is two fold.
1) If they are flying, that might be good news for my hopes for a MnG (It would honestly make my summer if I got to meet him, so my fingers are still super crossed)
2) One of the members of my group couldn't make it due to parental decrees. (Although when I went to buy the tickets last week, the parents had no problem). So alas, I'm stuck with a ticket and no one to enjoy the show. So if ANYONE wants to see the show, you can have the ticket free of charge. I'll be at the show in Jean shorts, a SoY tour shirt (the one with the CD art on it) and a Hawaiian shirt. I also answer to the name george.
If anyone's interested, or if anyone wants an extra free ticket, I just don't want it to go to waste, let me know. If not I'll see you all at the show tomorrow!

jon was tellin a few of us that they r doin canada 6 times, and in and out of it 9 times
Wow, they are road warriors. Ive always thought Al's tour schedules were a bit crazy, he'll criss-cross the US like 5 times rather than just traveling from one end to the other like most tours.
Oh, and if noone noticed.....THE SHOWS TONIGHT!!! YAY!!!!!!

My son and I were driving across Ohio on Route 80 today heading west and I saw three tour buses heading west... could it have been??? They were the right colors, anyway.
Anyway - greetings from Notre Dame, lol. I'm here for the week. Hope everyone at the show is having a wonderful time.

Well, it definitely was a wonderful time! I guess you might have seen them, but I figure that unless it was way early today, they were most likely farther in than Ohio. They only have two busses(band & crew) as well.
The show was definitely one of my favorites. I went in to get my after-show passes, and the great Kirby Center had combined them in with my ticket for some reason. Anyway, I retrieved them and was then met by Matt who I had met in Stroudsburg. We talked for awhile, and I told him to meet up with me after the show, and I'd let him have my extra pass. I then went to the merchandise, and they still had the old tour dates on the Back Cover Tour T-Shirt, which was the one I wanted...but I still got it. While I was there, Dave came up behind me. We joked about that for a little, and I then talked to him. Found out that he also had passes, so we decided we'd meet more afterwards. I then went in, found my seat in the 2nd row..which was even better than I expected, since I thought there was a Pit involved. I was right in front of Al all night, so since he noticed me, I got a lot of lines sung to me and got the stare in Albuquerque. It was an extra stare, too, as he did the 'eye point' thing, with 2nd and 3rd finger from his eyes to mine....I'm sure you understand what I'm describing. Also, before the show I got to meet up with Teri and Dave, who I had also met in Stroudsburg and who were at the Wildwood show. So, it was kind of like a reunion, as well..lol.
The concert had many little different things. Before the start of You're Pitiful, Al forgot the piece of paper for the beginning timing joke, and had to run back to get it. In Saga Begins, there were two stormtroopers, a darth vader, and another member that I can't identify. Sorry, don't know my Star Wars! I'm sure Dave will fill it in. The Yoda Chant was deeper than usual, I might have just been hearing Steve more, even though I was on Jim's side or Al might have been doing it lower. Albuquerque had the most changes, though. From talkting to a guy at the beginning about 'knowing the place' to asking the girl in front of me if she was paying attention..He said, "No, you weren't...you don't even want to be here do you!"...The donuts were different, as he gave the response to jelly again at glazed..and Al said, "No, I was asking about glazed donuts!"...Some other lines were delivered differently, as well. So, with my interaction, as well, this was definitely one of my favorite Albuquerque performances.
After the show was great, as I got to talk to both Jim and Al for awhile and get my picture with both on Dave's camera, since I didn't have mine...thanks! So, this was definitely one of my favorite concerts getting to see people I knew, a great show with much interaction, and a great after-show experience. Really glad I got to see Jim, since I had missed him at King's Island..and he was the whole reason I had passes. Hope it works out for Harrisburg next month...but, even if it doesn't, this has definitely been an experience of fun that I'll never forget....
