What an amazing show. I haven't been reading each and every show review but it's definitely the first time I've seen the Storm Trooper/Vader song and dance revue. They weren't in Wildwood last Monday. The reaction to "I'll Sue Ya" was great. He definitely stressed the Jersey line. I got some great footage from my camera that I'll try to get up on Youtube eventually.

It was my 3rd show this tour and so far my last, but I just don't think my girlfriend and I have gotten nearly enough. If some seats pop up for D.C. I may consider the ride, or even Harrisburg, NYC, or Wilkes-Barre. I wish I knew his plans beyond October, if he'll do another round of touring next spring/summer, or get back to work writing. It would make my ticket buying decision a lot easier.

*comes out from lurking*

I went alone, which is probably how, despite not getting my ticket until about a half hour before the doors opened, I got a front row seat, so that was lucky, despite the speaker I was in front of occasionally blocking the action (for the most part it was only blocking Al's legs). I managed to grab a few of the $100 bills from I'll Sue Ya, as well as the cup he threw into the audience after the gargling bit of Smells Like Nirvana.

Other highlights:
-The Gilligan's Island clips shown during I'm in Love With the Skipper
-"I sued Delta Airlines, cause they sold me a ticket to New Jersey. I went there, and it SUCKED!"
-The Paris Hilton verse of Headline News. "Can someone tell my why we should give a crap about this?"
-Al sitting down and reading a newspaper during the piano solo in Why Does This Always Happen to Me
-Albuquerque, which was somehow even longer and more fun than ever. Being up front and yelling stuff like "IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!" and "I HATE SAUERKRAUT!" made this the best part of the night.
-Too much other stuff to list here.

P.S. for those of you keeping score:
Poodle Hat original: Why Does This Always Happen to Me?
You're Pitiful shirts: Accordion and "ATLANTIC RECORDS SUCKS"

I'll be uploading the pix later---Nancy, I think I got a reasonable shot of you being serenaded!

Show was excellent, the crowd energy level was impressive--I don't think I've ever seen a mosh pit at WAY show before. I LOVED the storm troopers! That was SO COOL!

Steve also threw his bass in the air again at the very tail end of Nirvana--the lights were off at that point, so I dunno how visible that was.

I did get a nice shot of Al hoisting his squeezebox overhead during Yoda! :D

See y'all Wednesday! I think I've got a show a week the rest of the month!

Jackie, if you have a picture of that I'll be forever grateful - like an idiot I had my camera in my hand and never thought to pass it off to my son! I did get a great shot of Al telling my son about his dear, sweet mother during Albuquerque, though.

Rachael, you are in a couple of my Albuquerque pics - my daughter was standing near you, she and son #2 and my absentee older daughter (long story but that was her empty seat that other people kept jumping into) had the seats next to you.

There's nothing like being forehead to forehead with Al! He really made my night. I'll try to write up a decent review and post pics later but I've got to get my daughter to an appointment.

Can't wait until Wednesday!

I think I have a picture of Al singing to your son.

Awesome show! And VERY enthusiastic crowd! But hey, it's NJ so what else would you expect? I had to laugh at the people literally dancing in the aisles. They went extra crazy when Al threw the Nirvana water at them or any other time Al acknowledged them from stage.

Except for one other couple, we had the whole fourth row to ourselves. Plus the people sitting right in front of us left early. What's up with that? My cousin (not the same one from California) was there, so I told him to "upgrade" his seats and come over and sit near us. He had a great time. My mom and her friend were there too, but sitting further back. They also had a great time. Mom liked the Taylor Hicks wig and the Star Wars stuff the best.

I got some nice pictures through TSB when Anne jinxed my camera and messed up the settings (What's up with that girl?!??). Was able to fix it finally during "Fat" or "Albuquerque."

ISY got a HUGE cheer. People were standing and cheering even before he started the Delta Airlines line. Adrian repelled the money and none fell in our row. Nice surprise with the stromtroopers and Darth Vader. Maybe we'll start seeing them at more shows now, or at least in the bigger markets. Steve really threw his bass high during SLN. It flipped in the air and I thought he would drop it for a second. And who knew that stormtrooper was such a ho?

GREAT pictures, Jackie!

Yes that is my older son. I have that pic from another angle on my myspace but don't know how to link it here. I'll figure that out some day... ha.

Ooh, can you post the pics with me in them? I had such a great time last night! It my friend's second show. Her first show was Westbury, and they say that there are no bad seats there, but they obviously hadn't sat in the seats we were in. LOL My friend had a great time at the show. all the way home, she was saying "He's so funny!" LOL

I didn't bring my camera, because in the past, I've been to shows where they are so mean about cameras. So, I left mine home. Now I'm a little sorry that I did. Did anyone get a picture of the "storm trooper ho"?

That was definitely one of the funniest things IMO

Mel and I together got 47 yankobucks. We did give some of them away though.

Oh man, I wish I could do that again! Now, I have to wait until NYC!

There is a photo of the Stormtrooper ho in my photobucket album.

And my policy with cameras is to ALWAYS TRY. When I don't, I regret it. I know Serge got a camera in on the Poodle Hat tour, so that was why I packed mine. The worst they can do is make you put it in your car.
