:-O that happened to me!!! I was 3rd from the front (standing) and in that song he came over to my side of the stage and looked right into my eyes! I was dumbstruck! His expression didn't change - neither did mine - I think I must have looked blissfully in shock! lol It was this weird 'eye-stare-trance' thing. I didn't grin a lot - or look unhappy - just neutral. I don't think either of us blinked for nearly 10 very long seconds!!!Ambra @ Aug 5 2007, 05:50 PM wrote: I put this in my review but I wanted to put it here too--I got to have a brief "staring contest" with Al during "Albuquerque". After the "I had my tray table up/And my seatback in the full upright position" chorus, instead of the laugh, he came to edge of the stage, leaned forward a little and stared at me for about 3 to 5 seconds. Of course, l leaned forward on the chair in front of me (the folks in the first row left before the encore) and stared back! Hey, I may not win but I certainly won't back down from a staring challenge! This is the second concert in a row where he's singled me out for that "wild-eyed" stare he does, the first being the very end of WBUL at Glen Allen. Thankfully, I was able to keep my salivary glands under control under both circumstances!
*is giggly happy mush*
I'm not comfortable in my comfort zone - it's poorly named.

I love Al's wide-eyed stare. I wish I had had the presence of mind to snap a pic as he made his way over to stage right, leaned toward us, opened the bellows of the accordion, and stared at both me and my friend Dawn during "Party at the Leper Colony". We both started cracking up, and lost our places while doing the hand jive.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

sadly not trapped in the drivethrough with Al...

Singing his heart out
Is it me or is Al's singing often overlooked (in reviews/the public)...he's so versatile and man, he sounds amazing in Do I Creep You Out!
"Yes, I work out - why do you ask?"
