I'm going to be there as well....actually, I'm already here. I'm waiting outside here by the crew tour bus using its internet on the HalJoe. The band bus hasn't arrived yet, although there is a limo sittin next to the crew bus. I doubt it's any of Al's people, though, it could be..I guess. It looks to be the regular setup with full video screen..they were only able to use one at the last show in Wausau. So, that should make for a little better show. The sun looks like it might be a minor problem tonight..maybe delaying the show until around 8. The mountains could help shade the screen, though. They kind of did in Wausau, and it's even more mountainous here. Can't wait for this show...should be another great one! I also talked to the man when I was getting my ticket, who asked me if I had met Al before. He said that he would most likely be doing the backstage thing tonight for everybody...so I guess we'll wait and see! Hopefully, they will. Although, I have a feeling that I'll be getting a different backstage experience at one of my next shows, if everything works out!

I would've been there but my mother couldn't get the day off from work. <_<

It would have been a 3 hour drive from Nashville to Pigeon Forge.

I'll be reading the great reviews tomorrow....have fun!!!! :D

Well, the concert was a great experience! But, the venue could have been a lot better. Although, they were really kind to Laura and Al's crew, so at least that's a good thing. They just seemed to self-indulgent...

I decided to eat at the grill at Dick Clark's, so I got there around 5. It wasn't anything like I had expected. Overpriced, and wasn't good. There was also a country guy singing before the show at the grill. He was okay, but I decided to skip some of it around 6..and get ready for the show. The band still wasn't there when we arrived, so I went outside and waited for them to show. Around 6:15, the bus pulled in. There wasn't any security around at this time, so I was able to meet everybody in the band and Al..on their way to set things up for the show. They then went and checked on their stuff set-up..not sure what Al did...(maybe the interview with Steve from WGN...wish I could have heard that, but I didn't really have much access...unless I wanted to sneak backstage and be with Al, as he did the interview!!..)the rest messed around on their instruments just make sure they sounded right..but they didn't do or perform anything. It was cool to get to meet them again quickly, though. I then went back inside where the guy was finishing up his act, and then they opened the doors around 6:45. The concert didn't end up starting until 8:22, and Al's pre-show music didn't start until the posted showtime of 7:30.

The concert went out perfectly, except for a longer pause than usual at the start of Drive Thru. Also, in Saga Begins, I wish I would have got this....he said "off to Tattooine" too early, and the whole crowd was singing it perfectly. Al stopped, looked around curiously, and said.."That's right, we went off to Tattooine" in his normal voice. It was cool to finally hear something in that song...because the only thing that had been different in my 35 previous times of seeing it, was Jim behind Al at Oneida. So, it was nice to hear Al do something different with it...although, it might not have been on purpose. The video clips were also back to the vintage-original circa May 2, 2007. They had been editing a few of the bits out during the tour, but it was the whole set of video clips last night. Not sure of the change, but it looked like they were having a little bit of trouble with the servers before the show..and they might have had to revert back to the original due to that. Either way, it was nice to get to see them again.

I tried to go down and meet Al by the busses after the show, but the security guard wouldn't let me stand around there. But, at least I got to meet Al and the band before the show. I'll have to get stuff to Al before the show now, then..I guess...since it hasn't seemed to work out great after since Oneida.

Good concert experience, but Dick Clark's could've been better.

Okay I just got back.

I liked that concert a whole lot better than the previous one I went to during the PH tour! I thought it was perfect. I was sitting in the 4th row on the left side, although I wish I was on the right because he seemed to go on that side of the stage more often. I got some of the streamers from Canadian Idiot, but I wish I could've picked up a few Al-bucks... the wind blew them all onto the right side and I never got an opportunity to get one. After the show I looked around, but it looked like they had all been picked up.

After the show I also tried to meet Al by the buses, but the security guy was such a prick... even as we were standing on the top of the hill not even near the buses, he kept yelling at us to go away!

During Albuquerque... Halle Berry flavored donuts. Haha.

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Sorry security were being meanies. I was so hoping you'd get to meet Al. It'll happen for you. I just know it!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

I was extremely disappointed in the security. -_- They wouldn't let us hang around at all! There were some people with backstage passes that got to go in and meet Al, but that was it. Had I known I could have met with him before the show, I would have gotten there earlier!

Also, he left out Wanna B Ur Lovr. >< I was disappointed in that too.

But it was a fun time. I was happy to have my boyfriend there to share the experience with. ^___^ It was his first Weird Al concert and he loved it!!!!! I was so happy!
