I wouldn't be going if my husband couldn't get off work on that day...since he did, and the tickets in the second row never came through - I decided to go ahead and go to the fair and concert. I've never been to the state fair, so what the heck... Al's a bonus at the end of a day of new experiences!!
Ive only been to the kentucky state fair. As far as my impression of state fairs is people with farm animals competing, and lots of people selling stuff.
My husband was into 4-H as a kid, so every year, he and his family would go to the fair. I'm a fair virgin... um... well, you know what I meant.
I'm wondering what the chances are for a meet and greet will be at this venue. I know Kings Island is pathetic because they want to close up and go home, so I imagine this is sort of the same thing. Kettering was so cool because the back of the venue was on a street where the busses were.
I would think fairs would be better for meet and greet. If we all bring farm animals we will blend in and they wont make us leave after the concert.
Kettering was great, I wish we got more Al time tho. I also wish I would have been active on this forum before then, that way I could have met all of you. But I will see you all in Columbus and Cincy.
As for a meet & greet, its hard to tell. I figure the fair will still be going when the show ends. I'm pretty sure fair is open til midnight. But I have heard from oterhs saying fairs usaully are bad for meets due to all the otehr people in the area? And becasue a lot of times the bus has to park 'way out. I'm hoping there is a meet. I haven't met Al yet ever!
We got ours either Sat. or Friday. My husband SWEARS he didn't know we were doing the concert too. Well, at one point I thought we'd just go to the fair and hang around after the fair. Heck, I can't be so close and yet so far...so....we're going!
See you there, JediMom (Maybe - I'm in the nosebleed section).
