My first Al concert was February 27, 2000 in Santa Cruz. I had been an Al fan since probably the late 80's, but this was the first time I had ever gone to see him in concert. I had a blast, saw 3 more shows that tour, (would have liked to seen more) saw 2 last year and will be seeing at least 2 this summer.

My first show was October 16, 2000 in Duluth MN. I was invited to go with my friend and his family. We had balcony seats, but that was okay. The show was still awsome! I couldnt understand any of the lyrics though, because they were a bit outdrained by music. I brought in binoculars too, so I got some nice closeup views of Al and TBITB. I dont really remember much of the concert though.
My 4th show is just over a month away!

My first Al show was July 26, 2002. It was at the OC Fair and it was amazing. Since this was my first concert, I didn't buy my tickets till the last minute( I got row R or something like that, WAYY back there) and me, my dad, and my friend Shay went. When we first got into the fair, I ran to the Weird Al Experience and I was in HEAVEN! I could hardly contain myself! My dad wanted to look at the livestock and had to literatly drag me out of the WAY Experience. (It was pretty hard getting me out since I grabbed a hold of the wall and wouldn't let go.) Went on a couple rides, blah blah blah, and then it was time for the concert! Before we got to our seats, I spotted Jim and had him sign my Al folder (PM me if you want to know the Origin of the Al Folder) and then we all went to our seats. There was a camera going around to the crowd and my dad tells me to stay in my seat. What do I do? I get out of my seat and start dancing like a maniac with my Al folder. I get on the big screen and I thought that was really cool. Then FunZone started and I was so excited. The whole show was pure fun! Al came very close to my aisle (like 5 feet away) and what do I do?? I start bawling! I guess its cause I've never seen Al that close up before. Anyhoo, I had the best time! After the concert, I met Miles Jay and had him sign my folder too. It was so fun and the Al fans that I met were nice. I was going to ask the girl who got the scarf if I could touch it, but I was too chicken to. Well, thats my first experience. (I CANT WAIT TILL OC THIS YEAR!)

He became Francine back in 76' and then he joined that cult. I think his name is Mother Shibubu now.
My very first, and only, Al concert was in Valdosta, GA at Wild Adventures Theme Park. The show was incredible and Al was a good-looking in person as he is in the pictures. So was Jim & Steve
hehe I didn't get to meet Al or any of the band members, as they were only letting local GA radio contest winners do this (so wrong) but it was worth every minute I stayed at that park waiting for the show to begin.

My first Al concert was in Albany NY 2-4-2000. I've liked Al since 1979 (a lot since 1985), but this was my first opportunity for a live show. I was in the first row, on the aisle, and much to my delight I found Al on my lap singing me a verse of One More Minute ("rather spend eternity eating shards of broken glass..."). I didn't even realize I had a scarf around my neck until half-way through Like A Surgeon. It was all so fun. No SLN or M&G because Al had a sore throat.

My first show was on 7/31/1997 - during the Bad Hair Tour - at Star Plaza in Merrillville
I begged my dad to get me tickets for my birthday, and we had the 2nd to last row in the balcony.. and we left before the show ended because he hated having to put up with people and traffic.
So it wasn't such a great experience, but I got addicted to shows.. LOL
The next show was better, on 8/21/99 with the Touring With Scissors show.. I still wasn't tour chasing at that point, I didn't start chasing until 2000... and thats all she wrote. LOL

July 11, 1992 at The Ritz in New York City -- 15 years ago yesterday!
My friends James and Wai called me from the mall and were like, "Hey, we're standing at the ticket place in the mall and Weird Al is playing in New York City in a couple days. Do you want to go?" (DUH!
). I didn't even know he did concerts! Wai still refuses to go to another.
15 years and 65 concerts later...
