Hey maybe if we could seperate out the guitar parts from the Straight Outta Lynwood DVD, we could make some songs for Frets On Fire (the open source / Free Software Guitar Hero clone) http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/

Heh, that seemed like a good idea so I just went and downloaded the program . In the last 45 minutes I discovered that:
A. I suck at this game
and
B. There's no need to separate the guitar parts. (In fact, if you were to do that, you wouldn't be able to hear Al singing while you play. Where's the fun in that?)
You can create your own songs by converting any music file into .ogg format and using the song editor that's included in the game.
Alternatively, you can use an external song editing program. There's a guide here
